The dream home was gorgeous

Hubby and I went last night to take a tour of the Dream House they are giving away this year.  We paid $12 for one ticket so we could take a tour of the house.  Although I think the house seems a bit smaller than the past few years, it was gorgeous.  Wow and every where you turned it seemed to have a bathroom.  The master suite was awesome, I could see myself getting lost in there for hours on end!  The upstairs had three more bedrooms and one of the bedrooms up there had a mini refrigerator.  The kitchen was gorgeous!  There was a beautiful stainless steel backsplash behind the stove, I mean it looked like a work of art and the ceiling in the kitchen also had like stainless steel shingles look to it.  For the first time ever I seen a microwave that pulled out and was, I kid you not, a drawer!  I never seen one like that before!  Although I think the kitchen could of used some more cupboard space and the living room a different color paint job, I thought the house was gorgeous.  You have the option if you win, to take the house or $200,000.  As beautiful as the house was, I generally lean on wanting the house, but I think this time around I take the cash to pay off our house and not worry about having a house payment anymore and get those windows we desperately need.   I am more of a country gal at heart decoration wise and as gorgeous as the house was, honestly I just don’t see myself living there.  Plus for my dad to live with us, steps isn’t an option for him and all the bedrooms were upstairs except the master suite.   My favorite of the Dream Houses was last year, the theme was going “green” like saving energy and using recyclable things to build the house with.  It was adorable!!
