Short term memory loss more noticable

Well dad’s short term memory loss is getting more and more noticeable.  I got a call earlier this afternoon from my Aunt who lives locally, he goes to visit her and she brought some things to light, plus every Wednesday when he goes to see her where she works, he picks up hubby’s lottery, hubby play the pick 5 and for some reason dad got the pick 3 and even my Aunt tried to tell dad that isn’t what hubby plays and he argued with her about it.  I was down the hall when he got home so I didn’t hear any of this, when he got home hubby was confused and didn’t get upset he just said oh you changed the game for me this week and dad was in shock, I guess he kept looking at the old ticket and was confused.  My Aunt was a bit miffed that he argued with her, I guess he got a little snippy about it, and she felt I should know.  I was told the anti-viral he was on could cause him to have issues with his memory, even though he finished taking the medication, it is still in his system for so many days, so I don’t know if that is it or not.  When he came home today he was all over me wanting to know if the mail came yet.  It had not come yet, as he gets a farm and dairy paper.  He seemed upset about that.  He didn’t go back out tonight and he is laying down now.  So I know he isn’t feeling well and I know the shingles still have not totally cleared up and he was due for a shot tomorrow and hoping he isn’t going to sneak there.  I was told to watch to make sure the shingles don’t come back.  OH man can they really do that?  Come back full speed?  ARGH!
