OH man, why didn’t he tell me!

My dad, is really trying my patience right about now.   It’s all I can do to not lose my temper with him.  Please keep in mind as you read this, that is its not the accidents I am upset about, its the not telling me about them or lying about them!!  My dad takes a cup with sweet tea in his room every night when he goes to bed.  Why in the world it was anywhere near his closet, I have no idea.  I have been talking to hubby and since my daughter has discount for reservations with the company she works with,  trying to arrange where we can go away for a night before winter hits!  I really need a night away, and we love to visit Amish country.  Well I always keep the duffel bags in the suitcase and my son wanted one for his swimming stuff and books.  Well when I went to get it out I opened his closet and there is sticky stuff all over.  It’s tea!  Its all over our luggage!  How in the world am I going to get it out?  Why didn’t he tell me.  But of course I found some ants too!  Dads’ room has the biggest closet so that is why the suitcases are in there.  We only have two!  Now I need a new one, because the one has mold on it from sitting.  It was stuck on the floor!  Of course with my migraine I haven’t done too much the past few days so I been looking online and found a set of  Eagle Creek luggage I like.    Of course hubby always checks his favorite spot where he shops for his lighters, but I don’t want a used set!  Oh let us not go there!

I haven’t even brought the subject up with my dad.  There isn’t carpeting in the bedrooms so I did get everything out of the closet and scrub the floor and the walls, even used a few Q-Tips to clean in the edges and in between the doors where my fingers would not fit.  Not exactly what I wanted to do with a pounding migraine.  Dad was off doing his usual trip to the mall visiting with his friends.  I just don’t know how to get through to him.  My hubby says he isn’t going to tell us when he spills things because its another sign of his arthritis getting worse and he knows that eventually its going to lead to not driving,  and honestly it scares me to death some days that he is still driving!   Heck it was even all over the side of his dresser.  I guess I will have to move his dresser on Monday when he goes to Middlefield and scrub the wall and floor just to be on the safe side.  I am sure he will notice that the closet is clean.  Hubby is curious to see if he will bring up the topic “Oh, who cleaned the closet”.    I just about had hubby talked into going to Lowe’s and getting enough carpet to lay in dads room for winter, now I am not sure he will want to do it now.  ARGH!
