Members have voices too
March 8, 2008
WOW!! I previously wrote an entry titled Oh for the love of pixels. It’s great that a few gals felt comfortable here to voice how they feel too, but what is sad are the comments left that ask me to NOT publish but THANKING me for speaking up on the subject. Another used the name I use to post so I had to change my nickname to editor.
It’s really a shame that someone wants to speak up about how they feel and yet ask me to not publish the comments. Out of respect for their feelings I did not publish them, I simply read them and deleted them and want to thank you for feeling you could come to my blog and speak up at least to me.
See this is what really is a shame. A person has to be afraid to say something for fear of the wrath to come.
I have to tell you, although I feel it’s a privilege to be a member of a site, that also the site owner should value and appreciate me and my feelings. Sure rough waters are going to come, when your on the Internet that exposure is going to happen, but what you have to stop and think about are all OTHERS who respect and follow terms. If its because you have too many members, then I am sorry to say its no excuse for me to say well gee I have 100 members so now I can’t handle making that many tags, then you should of THOUGHT about that when you took all the money!
Members don’t expect miracles, so why do you expect miracles from us to sit back and just accept the changes without being upset? So if we can request two tags a week, that’s only 8 tags a month. (This is just an example) So why not do one update a month and make 15-20 tags and let those members choose what they want? Then spend a week and make some new pixel graphics for them. Then if you decide to do theme weeks, you have time and you don’t feel like your members are a burden.
But its like you took our privilege away when its sign up and get what you get. So to those who left the comments, I hope I was able to represent your voice a bit, but at my site, if your upset about the changes too, you are welcome to voice that so you have a place to sound off. If some have a problem with it, well then they need to put their big girl panties on and deal with it. Rest assure if I lose my membership because of it, I will take action!
