Long week but good news….NEW ROOF in few weeks!!

Mood : a bit tired

I gotta tell you, I am just exhausted!! It was a long, long week. I don’t handle things like water coming into the furnace, or leaks or things that go wrong kind of stuff at all. I feel pressured because all of a sudden its my responsibility to did you call this person, did you call that person. Hey I called Bidwell and another company for quotes. Since one of my friends is married to a master carpenter, I most definitely heeded her advice and told hubby this isn’t waiting any longer. There are programs like 12 months same as cash, so we gotta get it done, can still pay off majority at tax time if not all and then do like I am doing now putting money away to pay off the carpet which I am proud to say by end of October it will be paid for and I still have three months!! Wahoo!!

So the first quote was just to put a roof on, they wanted $4000.00 OK thank you and have a nice day… That didn’t even include fixing the soffet and adding a downspout to the gutters, covering up exsisting vents and installing the new ridge vent…. This was for the cheapest material and 20 year wear. Nope… So last night Bidwell came out, this guy was nice didn’t try to talk down to me like someone who doesn’t understand like the other idiot did. That was a refreshing twist no? LOL

This time our quote was $3,200, which includes a 30 year slate shingle, eliminating existing roof vents and antenna (lordy we have an antenna up there? LOL), replace missing soffit and fix existing soffet on the north side of our house, and adding a down spout in center of gutters on each side of the house. Our house is a long ranch so we really needed those middle down spouts. So for all the work they are doing and getting the better shingle I think it’s a reasonable price. Then its done and we don’t have to worry about it. Twelve months same as cash program.

Plus after this and they do good and all, they also do windows so next fall or spring after that, we will call them for windows.

I had one other person who did a “drive by” and said $5,650.00 and I was like dude keep on driving……

The joy’s of owning a home and this weekend is getting that toliet from hell installed. Now I think since I did my leg work and ordered parts we needed online which btw explain to me if you do priority shipping why it still took two weeks to get the parts when it said 1 to three business days????? So you know I will be up their crawl until they credit me for that extra amount I paid. That was not priority shipped. I saved labels from when they said it shipped and when they actually shipped (two day air too boot), now you know they screwed up and should credit me back for that!! So won’t that be loads of fun this weekend? Heck no!

School starts next week, and I am so ready…. I got my son’s school laptop set up, and I am impressed this time they have it where you can not use messengers and other programs and I am like why didn’t you do that last year with the other computer cause lil pornie hornie would not of been where he was know what I mean? But they did allow me to install the att yahoo browser so he can have launch cast to listen to music and I get to listen to him sing country off key. OH gotta love it LOL. I really think this year since he won’t be in his room and have that freedom to goof off and watch tv, and stuff he did last year when he should of been working, he won’t have to be at the computer as much and praying this means less stress of me getting on is behind to get his work done or better quality and no short cuts charlie!!!

There is a couple who are going to call me about taking on their son for child care. I dunno, its so much harder to take on a child who has been bounced from sitter to sitter. Its so much easier to take them on when infants. If he is a handful like the two I have now which I just got them use to how things go at Susie’s house with rules and what not, I dunno if I have it in me LOL
