Long night last night

Last night was a very long night!! The night before hubby had a very uncomfortable night, he is one of those who is always hot no matter the temperature, and the mattress is really starting to crumble apart.  So I took my one thick blanket/quilt and put it on top of the mattress, then a fitted sheet over that which made our bed one blanket short at night.  Our room is the coldest room in the house.  Well I was freezing all night, where he felt it was comfortable.  I got up in the middle of the night to put my robe on over my night clothes and crawled back in bed.  It helped a bit, but not for my feet, even socks didn’t help.  Tonight I am going to toss something on just my side of the bed for extra warmth and see how that works.  No vents open in our room.  I wish when he got up he would open the vent so when the furnace kicked on after he got up the room would warm up a bit.  Plus I am not use to him being in bed past 5 in the morning either.  He tosses and turns so much and I am a very light sleeper.  So generally my sleep is between 5 and 7 or sometimes 8 and that’s the sound sleep I get, with hubby home on vacation that isn’t happening right now.  So I am dragging.  I think when he retires we are gonna either end up in separate rooms at night or like in the old days where everyone slept in twin beds!!  Can you picture that? LOL

Tomorrow is my daughters 19th Birthday!! Yep she is a New Year’s Baby!!  My dad wants to take us to Cracker Barrel today as her gift from him.  I am pumping the bean juice into my veins as I blog.  I don’t feel up to going anywhere today and don’t want to ruin this for my daughter.  We have to sneak away to pick up her cake for tomorrow too.  Her boyfriend will be here tomorrow for the day!

So hubby has decided to take down the ceiling fan that is over here in the area where my desk is and put up a light fixture.  Let there be light!!  So I think he will be cutting the power soon (oh yeah we had to debate this one, he was going to not turn the power off at box because if the “switch is off” no juice is running, it doesn’t work that way you know!  So that will cut off the Internet and television too for “cable” since the Uverse is hooked up on my desk.  I will take a picture to show you the ceiling fan coming out and the new light going in.

Somehow I thought were were taking a day while he was home, just the two of us to take a drive for the day back home where I grew up, having lunch, and stopping at few places for the day, somehow I guess that isn’t happening and not going to say I am not disappointed but I am dealing with it.  I am in this house 24/7.   Why did I think this?  Well because it was discussed about!!
