Just gets button and click happy!

Well I have no idea what in the world my dad did this morning on his laptop but that man gets button and click happy!  This week is going to be a busy week as it is with the holiday approaching, and hubby and I need to run out this afternoon for a little bit, but the screen isn’t coming on on his laptop.  Towers I have taken apart, added more memory, new drives, added drives, replaced video cards, but I have never really messed with a laptop.  Its possible a wire is look or maybe the video card went.  No clue at this point.  He plays at pogo.  But no one else uses the laptop so I am hoping its a simple fix, if not then I have to start pricing some refurbished laptops because dad will need something bigger than the netbooks that are out because of his eyes, and definitely nothing with Vista in it, so has to have Windows XP, which is what he is use to using and see if I can find one he can afford.  Hubby already stressed we are not buying it.  Hey I am with him on that one.  My dad doesn’t let the thing update either and it drives me insane.  With all going on with his health as of late, I totally forgot to do my weekly check on it, where I update it, run scans, clear filed and do a defrag!  I am hoping its an easy fix.  Problem is my dad wants it NOW and this is my last day to get out and run a few errands I need to run.  With my daughter working straight through until next Monday (not tomorrow I mean the following Monday), and us being the transportation, I am limited on where I can go, because I have to pick her up, when based on when hubby gets off work, fixing dinner and the time she gets off.  I am not a miracle worker here.  If he can’t wait then I will suggest maybe he take it to a computer shop!  That will probably tick him off.  He just has been something else.  He asked me today whats for dinner, I mentioned I didn’t know yet and he said to me, well when you figure it out call me!  Oh yeah, I think I am NOT cooking and he can just take his happy butt some where tonight and eat out!
