Its Easter!! Happy Easter!!

Wow its Easter already.  Where does the time go?  I sure miss the days when my teens were younger and loved the coloring of the eggs and hunting for their goodies.  They also know the true meaning of the celebration of Easter!

Hubby made the family their usual Sunday breakfast, but I didn’t eat, most Sunday’s I don’t.  I am really not a big egg eater really.  French toast yes.  But he doesn’t make french toast so I don’t eat!  I been busy cleaning…Yes I know its a holiday and I am cleaning.  I am getting really fed up with the family, they use grubby hands or they splash or spit out their toothpaste on my clean faucets, then I have to go back and redo them.  Drives me insane.  Especially when I am trying to get our Easter dinner going!  I have to stop, and rewash the so called clean pans first, scrubs the counters because they are stained.  I am very fussy about my kitchen, it has to be clean or I won’t cook! 

Today I am baking a half ham, with mashed potatoes and gravy, french style green beans, some rice, and a few yams for my dad.  I have a German chocolate cake cooling to ice, and have an apple pie in the oven baking.   Oh yeah and some dinner rolls.  That should fill everyone up!!  Of course my son was upset with me on Friday because I did not buy a  whole ham and I am like seriously for five people?  What are earth am I going to do with all that ham? 

So I hope everyone is enjoying their day with their loved ones.  Dad of course if out driving.  I was little disappointed that my daughter didn’t want to color eggs, then when she went over to visit her boyfriend and his family she colored eggs with them.  I know it is part of letting go but I have to tell you this mom is really struggle with that right now.  BIG TIME!!
