Irreplaceable…..

Ain’t life just a kick in the pants?  I been working on updating my resume, it took me all afternoon yesterday, they sure have changed some things in format of resume’s since I last made one over ten years ago.   So I am ready to hit the streets next week when hubby is on vacation to see what I can find.  I would like to get in with one of the hosptials here if I could working 7pm to 7am three nights a week, so I am really keeping my eyes peeled at their employment site.  This way I am home during day tending to things with my son going to school online via a charter school, still prepare meals for the family and have dad’s meds ready for him so all Harry has to do is give them to him at 9 at night and all is well.  This way should dad have a difficult spell in needing more help, hubby can help in the evening…..and usually once he is in bed, he is good for the night…

 So I go online to check out the local classifieds, why buy a paper where they have them online now.  So I am browsing the ads and came across an ad for child care, so I peeked at it, I always do for location, in case hubby says no way I can work those hours (he is having diffcult time with this) and if I had to resort to placing an ad, but I read the ad and the phone number….it’s the boy’s dad’s cell.  OMG!!  So I am irreplaceable am I??  He is gonna do babysitting?  Wow!  So I called the girls mom to tell her and she said OMG he definitely had an agenda and she said see, this proves they could not find someone like you who is as giving and reasonable.  Hmm maybe I was too reasonable in my fees!!!  But I know how hard it is just starting out and having two little ones, the expenses.  Yes I know I hear those voices saying hey stop that, you can’t think like that!  I know I know, lesson learned!   

My daughter told me the other evening that the boys mom told her when she babysat for them the one weekend, that if something ever happened she never put her boys anywhere else.  So maybe mom told dad then its time for you to be Mr. Mom!!!
