Oh for the love of pixels

OK so the past few days I have been busy offline due to the service being down. I have downloaded a ton of emails from the servers and well since it is MY blog, I have some things I need to say.

First off as a member of a site I take it as a privilege and I don’t abuse it, never have. But I have to tell you my grave disappointment. I paid to join a site as which I got to pick my tags I wanted. Plus it was to include other extra benefits. Over a period of time that changed (tremendously) and then I was shifted over to another site because it was to be combined and adding all kinds of gif pixels (not tubes why do they call them tubes as I can NOT open them in PSP, but in animation shop first, they simply should call them graphics, its what they are, cute pixel graphics). Then the next change was getting to request a lesser amount of tags. Then the next change was now you have till a certain day to request if you want them, and you get what you get! There is no getting to pick and choose. No more cute animations. No more couple or friendship tags. Now I didn’t join that site as I personally did NOT have a need, I joined for the benefit of signature tags, getting to pick and choose the ones I wanted. I like collecting couple tags, hence I am married and love to put a cute tag in my little emails to my hubby when he is at work. Its the little things you know! Now I didn’t moan, or complain to the owner, frankly if I was to say how unhappy I was I would of been tagged and then treated with disrespect and then drama would of started then kicked out of a membership I paid for.

I am a member of another tag membership site where I can request 5 tags at a time, and you can personally ask her how often I request and when I do, I generally do not pick 5 at a time. I don’t abuse the system and I don’t hog em all OK! I also am a lifetime member at another site and I still order tags from time to time and pay for them.

So now there is more changes because some FOOL choose to be an idiot and upload what she got as a privilege of being a member, then charging others money and giving them out as part of their membership site. I don’t blame the site owner as I am sure she is frustrated but she made a reference in her email to members that her heart isn’t in it anymore. I already knew that with all the changes she had already made to the membership in the area of requesting tags, I am sure she is tagged out and trying to keep creating so many for members to choose from was getting harder and harder.

So a new change to her terms is WE HAVE TO LIST ALL URLS OF OUR SITES IN OUR MEMBER PROFILES. So needless to say I will NOW be breaking terms as I will NOT being doing that. I am sorry but I already have a membership page here at this site with site I am currently active with. I will not list my other private sites that have nothing to do with the membership to this site. I will NOT add a members page to my other sites. That is just crossing a line making this a part of their terms of use. Not happening! Not only that, she says it feels like a burden for her to create things for her members. So now I am a burden!

I actually go sometimes month’s at a time and not request, sometimes I forget, but see that’s why I originally paid for lifetime because I didn’t have to worry about expiring and forgetting to request a tag and ending up just donating free money. I figured this was the way to go.

I really do think the pixels are very cute, if I didn’t I would not of spent the money I have spent buying them!!

Hi Susan hope you are doing ok.I just read your blog post here and I will have to say I agree with you 100%.I feel like I got screwed as well and I know others that do too I have never spoke up too cause I know as soon as I do my name will get slammed in the mud.I have seen so much drama once again go through the pixel groups today and its getting sadder and sadder.I as a site owner love what I do and I just could never see doing my members that way especially taking away how many tags they can order and make them choose just certain ones.I like making cute couple and saying tags but when u deal with all this drama and changes it gets so depressing and Im sure you can see my point.It gets me to the point I can’t concentrate on what to make and gets me so frustrated at myself.I was so happy to come to your blog and read this and know I was not the only one that felt this way Your right it’s your blog and you can speak what u want when u want LMAO.If they dont like it while they can take a hike lol.

I guess actually working for a buck is a burden to a lot of ppl. Her heart was sure in it when she took money for that membership from you guys, eh? I cannot repeat enough that I am so glad I left the pixel comm. It’s by far one of the best decisions I have ever made.

Yeah Lara, could you imagine telling members it feels more like a burden? That was just the lowest in my opinion.

I hope other tag creators don’t change and stop allowing members to pick and choose the ones they want!!

She has been doing crap with the siggie thing for some time now. She keeps making excuses & changing things which is not benefitting her members but her. As time goes on she reminds me more & more of Cathy from Premade Pixels. The one who kept on having sales for her siggie club to the point where she has well over 100 members but kept giving excuses as to why she could not fill the orders. Yet she always seemed to have time to make premades.

Now she has to be on break cause she cannot handle what has went down. Interesting that this happens when she is doing her usual theme month. She seems to always have time for those or her tube theme weeks now doesn’t she??? LOL

HI Susan just stopping by to say I admire you for speaking up and if others would do the same It would sure help them.You know I take on a lot at my site but I love what I do.I will never change on how I do sig orders cause I like choosing what I want as well.I hardly even use siggies much anymore just every now and then lol
I love them but when you start changing terms that we cant choose anymore after we paid that upgrade fee to get so many a week and we cant choose that just SUCKS!!! I mean we all like our own styles,ideas and whatnot,its not whate someone else wants us to have right? Im sorry Im ranting I have been aggravated about this for quite some time now.I only purchase from a select few anymore in the pixel world cause I have seen so much crap said and run down of others its just crazy.I tell u what does make me feel good though is compliments I get from my members each week that say they love my siggies I make and how speedy I am lol.I mean I try to get orders filled as fast as I can and dont want to make them sit in my inbox.I have had several tell me Im the fastest lol.I dont know if I could agree with that hehe but I sure try.I am gonna be working on new siggies this weekend for Monday so be sure you come by next week and get your siggies lol.I hope u have a wonderful day.Hugs Karen
