Holy Molies those were expensive
Well hubby’s next set of glasses were el no cheap o! I knew we paid more than the two for $149.99 the last time because he had to upgrade the type of lenses but he said I was incorrect and when we got there, I was correct. Unless he wanted huge frames which he didn’t, he had to upgrade the type of lenses which added 100.00 to the price and was still best option in getting two pair verses just one. However this time we paid an extra 23.00 on one pair for warranty so if something happens to the one pair, he can get them replaced for 30.00 one time. It just means that he won’t be getting his eyes done again for two more years instead of next year is all! His glasses won’t be ready until after 4 tomorrow. So may take us a while to pay those off but gotta do what you gotta do.
I don’t understand why “both” pairs that he already has, the lenses in the exact same place started to split or crack at top of the left frame. I think the frames he chose this time are a little wider. But this time when they put the dot on the lenses of the frames he picked out and checked on this chart they had, to see which lenses he would need, I don’t remember them doing that last year, which is kinda weird that would just stick in my mind, the girl did the dotting the lens thing, measured with a measuring stick then took them and placed in a tray.
He did pick out frames that are slightly bigger than what he has now, but he would of had to pick out huge frames for the regular lenses and if you would of seen the look on his face, I knew he didn’t like them and he wouldn’t wear them. Even my son laughed when he was trying them on and that so didn’t help matters either. I could of smacked him silly!
I don’t wear bifocals, just regular glasses, have since my Navy days, and I get the two for $99. It will be 4 years since and I was hoping this year to have my eyes checked and get glasses so I may have to wait. If no change then no need for new glasses, buy my nose pads so need replaced. But if there is a change then I need to replace them, but thanks to Lynn I can try that site link she left me for the $39 glasses! Thanks Lynn! I didn’t see that until after we went for his appointment!! But this would be great for my son too and he is due soon. Great link to have!!
