Happy Father’s Day to all our daddy’s out there!! How about that, it fell on the official first day of summer to boot! How about that!! My son made hubby a card, he wanted to do the sidewalk art for him like he did for me for Mother’s Day but well with all the rain we had, and the ground being wet, well wasn’t going to happen, so he made my hubby a card. I had NOTHING to do with it, no part in it with wording what so ever!! This is what he wrote:
Dear Dad,
Happy Fathers’ Day! I just want to thank you for always being there for me and mom, my sister, brother and grandpa. I also want to thank you for helping me being the man I will soon become. And for being the man who became my REAL DAD!! You work hard every day so you can support your family every day. Today is your day off!! You ever heard a picture is worth a thousand words? I could not imagine the picture with you as a dad in it!
Wow, when I read that it I teared up! Wow that was something else. His brother is my stepson, that is who he is referring too. My son can be a pistol sometimes but when it comes down to the seriousness of life, he really is something else!! I think all our kids are. I think this shows how much he has matured in his life. It still hard for me to believe he is 17!! (and making cards how about that LOL)
I did another review for Caregiving.com! I got to review a Book in PDF format called The Aging with Grace Caregiver Toolkit!! How cool is that! I just got an email from the site owner Denise that it’s up! This is definitely one I am using for dad now. I have to grab a three ring binder, I thought I had an extra one laying around but my son used it for school, which is fine.
Today is all about hubby and he seems to be wrapped up in the television at the moment so I thought I pop on and blog. I have to pick up my daughter from work in a little bit. I am going to start working on scrapping my pictures from the concert. I got a Warrior Fan (that’s a Toby Keith Fan) mailing me a few Toby Bucks so I can add to the scrapbook, how cool is that?? The warriors are so cool! I had joined both fan clubs to try for a meet and greet passes for hubby and I but didn’t know there was a certain time frame, which I blogged about already. But have to tell you I don’t see me participating over at Traces club, as much as I love Trace and all, just don’t want the drama, some of those ladies are just flat out mean and spiteful and blew me away! But I know it comes with the territory of being online and why I usually avoid forums, but I can tell you over at the Warriors I didn’t see this going on, everyone is so very kind and fun going and the pictures they are posting, even of Trace OMG, Damn I wish my pictures were that close, I am drooling from the view of my computer screen let me tell you!! So I will just enjoy the goodies coming and be the fan that I am here at Lollipop Moments!! I can’t wait to scrap my pictures!!!! (I may even ask a few Warriors if I can add a few of theirs to my book LMAO) ha-ha

Awwwwwwwwwww! I loved the card he made for his dad! What a sweet son you all have!!!!!!!!!!!!!
