Had lunch with dad today

After a rough day yesterday and yes, ending up with a Migraine (third one in 4 days too boot), I agreed to go have lunch with my dad today! He has been wanting me to go and see the new McDonald’s they put up. They had knocked down the old one sometimes in the middle of summer and began construction. I hadn’t been that way since I was watching the girls and taking Brianne to preschool, we have lunch a few times. That was their favorite place. I prefer their breakfasts over their lunch or dinner menu, but my dad really wanted me to go, and felt I really need to just get out of the house a little bit.
Check out this picture! They put in a fireplace and right above that is a flat panel television! It is really very nice! I was impressed. I wonder if they have WiFi like the one that they are now working on that is closer to our house? They didn’t tear down totally, just adding on so they closed up right after the New Year. My dad loves their coffee so he goes there once each day! It was nice to sit and talk and just enjoy a little time out of the house. I could not help but to over hear some people debating over which was the best diet pill to take. Wow there is a topic to discuss while your at McDonald’s eating a huge meal. Thinking of all those calories they were packing. I had a plain burger (nothing on it, just plain plain plain) and a sweet tea! Dad had a double burger only onion and a sweet tea too. Now I got the big tea that was a dollar, he ordered the small tea and you know what? They still charged him a dollar. I said to him you might as well get the big one and enjoy it for the afternoon. He really shouldn’t have more than two cups of coffee anyhow, that is what his stomach doctor said.
Of course the drive there and back, we never go the same way twice. Going out with dad is always an adventure and a nail biter too when it comes to his Sunday driving….you know where they are looking out the side window instead of straight ahead!! Oh man my hubby does that too and makes me a nervous wreck!!
Wow, that’s a fancy McD’s! I’m with you, I LOVE their breakfast. They have the best sausage. I used to work for McD’s and then was an Office Manager for an Owner/Operater of multiple McD’s Restaurants for 11 years and in my area they have what they call a Senior Coffee or Senior Drink … I haven’t been around the business for a few years now, but the last I knew, they charged 25¢ plus tax for that. It’s a small coffee or soft drink for that price. You should tell your Dad to ask them if they have such a thing as a Senior Drink in your area for a reduced price.
