Glad he enjoyed the day, I didn’t

July 5, 2008

So yesterday was just a disappointing day for me.  However since my husband started his mini beer feast at noon, he on the other hand had a great day!  He is on his vacation now for the next week.  First I had to run and pick up my daughter from work and they had a parade down here where we live.  There are only two ways in and out of our area and they had both ways blocked.  It took me an hour and a 1/2 to get home after picking up my daughter.  I am so writing a letter to the editor and city to complain.  What if there was an emergency for my father?  I mean I could not get to my house.  I had to wait until the end of the parade was past a few side streets way down from us to finally get through and make it home.  That is just ridiculous and I can’t believe they are allowed to do that.  Isn’t that a fire hazard to boot?? I tell you what if my house was on fire the way people parked the truck never would of made it to our house!!!!

Then last minute cookout oh I Just love those last minute things.  Could he not tell me the day before so I could get stuff for it? NO!  Then my stepson came over and he was outside with his dad, we ate then back out they went.  Hubby got a fire going and did not even tell me!  I was in the house with a migraine (small one) and my stepson left then called to say to tell his dad he is on his way back.  I was a little confused as he was suppose to have plans with his girlfriend then comes back with bottle rockets.  Oh OK NOT!!  I walk back to tell him he was on his way seen the fire going and hubby was just blitzed OK!  Well our neighbors across the street call the cops every few hours during this holiday and my hubby is going to set off bottle rockets?  The smell of the sulfur was really aggravating my migraine not to mention the noise!!  My poor daughter had to go to bed early as she had to be up at 5 to go to work this morning.  I am glad he enjoyed his day, but I didn’t.  I went to bed crying from the pain.  I got a guilt trip for the so called little setting the scene fire in the backyard…oh yeah can you picture it?  Me with migraine and them setting off bottle rockets NEXT to the fire???  OH yeah that’s romantic!!!  He never ONCE even came inside to tell me he was getting the fire going, so what am I a mind flipping reader to boot?  Sure it would of been nice, to sit by the fire and try and relax so this migraine would maybe level out a bit, but to sit out there while setting off the bottle rockets?  No I don’t think so!  I would of been tempted to put one in my ear to blast that migraine away!!
