First Interview a success!!

Wow after meeting the first mom and lil cutie and got the a ok, I was just so worn out from being so nervous I just kicked back and put my feet up after my bath last night. Yes that is correct, my first interview went well. He is just a sweet lil cutie. I had ran to Walmart yesterday morning because well I have all little girl toys, you know baby dolls and stuff, and picked up some cars and blocks. That was a total success right there. He came right in took his shoes off sat down to pet my kitty and I brought out the container with the toys for him to explore while mom and I (and hubby) got acquainted. He had a ball playing!! He has awesome manners. They were here for almost two hours. Poor thing has so many allergies and there is so much he can not eat or have, poor lil guy. Mom will bring his food. She definitely wanted to commit before she left so I gave her the paperwork, it just a sheet I made up for basic information that I keep on hand in a folder so if an emergency comes up I can find what I need quick! She said she let me know by today with the dad’s approval of sorts (they are divorced) but said my home felt warm and comfortable and feels her son will just thrive here! She was putting her shoes on and trying to get him ready, he DID NOT want to go home. How cute was that!! That is always a good sign and seems to be the norm when parents come to pick up their kids they don’t wanna go home LOL. She called me back last night about 1/2 hour after they left and she said it was definite and they start Monday!!

Tonight is my second interview so we are crossing fingers again! It’s hard to not be nervous ya know. The interview goes both ways as I am interviewing the parents too, if I do not feel comfortable I won’t take their kids on. You can tell usually. Hard to explain but you can tell.

So hopefully my last day to be nervous LOL. Once I find out for sure if I will have other little ones I need to go and pick up two new sippy cups. Everyone here that I babysit has their own sippy cups. That’s right sippy cups that don’t spill LOL
