It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month!!

As many of you know, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It is so important to both men and women to be aware and doing those monthly checks. Cancer isn’t prejudice to genders. I realize that my blog here at Lollipop’s is always shaded “pink”, but I am still signed up for Going Pink in October, in support of spreading awareness to many! Every year I make a donation to Susan G Komen for a Cure site and also support the 3 Day Walk for Breast Cancer. My grandma had breast cancer and ended up having one of her breasts removed when I was such a young girl and she had such a hard time, and I will always remember that.

On September 30, 2008, it was announced that the Susan G Komen for a Cure is distributing an unprecedented $100 million in grants to American and international scientists in support in of research. OH my goodness I won!!!

From time too time I tend to get ranty when I read through my spam comments and find some of the ickiest thing but never occurred to me that could end up bring more spam my direction!! Hooked on Starburst

Ever just crave a sweet you just had to have? Then other times its like EWW Gross, get it away from me? My sweet crave of the moment is Starburst!! I had bought some back when I had that infection in my gland and I eat just one here or there but its like I have to have one now. I know what is coming in October…the dreaded bag of CANDY CORN!! I love candy corn, but only during October and I only get one small bag of the Brachs too cause I don’t like any other one!!!

What sweets do you just have to have one on hand???

Oh would I love to have that!

I got a mini catalog from my sister in law today who sells Longaberger and it has special just for the month of September. Let me tell you I wish I knew enough people around where I live to host a part this month. They have some awesome tv furniture made out of wrought iron with wood craft shelves and lots of space for baskets to store things!! Wrought iron would last forever!! I would have to host a $500 or more to be able to purchase as my half price selection, the full retail price is $750. (Can you hear my hubby coughing?) But its just gorgeous!!! Well I know its not something I will ever get but doesn’t hurt to dream right?
