It is hard to believe that Christmas is around the corner isn’t it? Being that we are a one car family I don’t get out very much. Plus I can not handle those crowds. I tend to get my shopping done by Thanksgiving. I don’t even think of going on on Black Friday! This year I am thinking of getting my dad one of those talking watches. He is getting up there in age and I seen him straining his eyes sometimes in the evening, or even scarier, taking his eyes off the road when he is driving to check the time since he doesn’t have the clock set right in his car. He could just push a button and hear the time and keep in his own lane that way! My daughter told me today he come close to getting hit when he went to look at his watch!!
Enjoyed a little TV time

Today I decided to just sit on the couch and watch some TV, something I wanted to watch, which happen to be an episode of 7th Heaven. There are many I have not seen and I still keep missing Lucy’s wedding to Kevin. The episode I watched today had to do with a couple that wanted to get married who decided they go to las vegas nv instead of getting married at the church and come to find out the girl was a con. Wow that would suck in real life. I could not imagine be conned like that and how someone could even do that is beyond me. So very sad. Tends to remind me of folks online you know. They pretend to be your friend just to milk you for ideas and to spy for them because they are paranoid. They are only out for themselves. Too funny that watching that episode would remind me of that. What gets me is everyone around me “seen” it but me. Must me that heart of mine huh
Something special just for her

I have been thinking of something special to get my niece Amanda for her birthday. I feel so bad for her, as my brother (yes I do have one, what can I say I come from a dysfunctional family and its a long story), doesn’t keep in contact with her like he should. I keep in contact with her and get to see her a few times a year. I have been looking at english saddles as she loves to ride horses wonder if I should get her one that would just for her. I thought I ask other members of my family to see if they wanted to go split the price to get her one. I think she would really love it. She goes the the stables to ride all the time and I keep watching for some pictures from her mom so I can scrap them. What do you think? You think she love one?

Today I just sort of goofed around on the web and over heard my daughter and her boyfriend talking about ipods. She has an ipod nano that he got for her as a graduation present (the spoiled brat) and its so cute. I tell you the color choices are unbelievable. Of course you know I get a pink one!! I already have an MP3 player so its not a necessity for me but over heard my daughter hinting for an 8gb one. Oh my goodness how much music does that girl need to have? I think the one she has is just fine. Isn’t that just like a teenager?? Always wanting bigger!!!!

Since Yahoo Messenger still down…we are in the middle of wind issues with the weather… the temps are dropping by 20 degrees and winds are up to 60mph so our power keeps going on and off. I have Twitter in the sidebar on the right of the blog that I can send updates from my cell phone too. I may be missing if we having damages during the night tomorrow and don’t want anyone to worry. Were we live is right near the lake and our neighbor told us tonight that the last time this was like this we lost power for a day or two….. Serious storms on their way tonight….
Just wanted to post this update….. we blew 5 lightbulbs, you know those new mercury types? ARGH

I find that on days the sun isn’t out shining so beautifully, I am dragging butt. It’s like my direct energy source literally comes from the sun! All I do is yawn, yawn, and well yawn!
It’s days like today that reminds me of winter coming. With staying home all the time I find winter time to be the hardest for me to deal with. I try and keep my mind busy and not think about not getting out to sit and enjoy the sunshine, or weeding the garden and flower beds.
Last night I had one hell of a migraine. This isn’t a good thing right now, its what September 9 and my nine pills for the month are dwindling down early. Not a good thing. Yes once again it was stress at home, with my daughter that brought this one on! As I previously stated for some stupid reason I thought once I got her through those not so fun 13’s, 14’s, drama of 15’s and 16’s the almost an adult 17’s, that now that she was 18, and graduated, working, that somehow things would change. I was sadly mistaken.
I wonder had I not gone to boot camp (NAVY) a week after I graduated, would I of acted like this too? Boot Camp, I wish there was a “home version” game! It teaches you a lot, especially about growing up, about being respectful (this is the most important lesson I think) and learning not to be so damn gullible!
I highly recommend to ALL parents to keep your teens away from MYSPACE!! Until they are responsible adults that are not gullible and can handle things, and use the service the way it was suppose to be, they should not EVEN allow TEENS to have one! Period. This service should be for adults only. I don’t mean the immature ones either! Parents, if your teens have one, you need to have one yourself and be on their FRIEND list so you can keep tabs on them. I stopped briefly tabbing my daughter because she had graduated from high school and that was a huge…HUGE mistake. Luckily I caught the lastest situation very very early and handled it. How did I handle it you ask?
I DELETED HER MYSPACE! I TOOK OVER THE EMAIL ADDRESS THAT I AM WORKING ON CLOSING ONCE I FINISH SENDING SOME THINGS TO OUR ISP PROVIDER FIRST!
She thinks she is going to open a new one. I at this point don’t think so! Her computer doesn’t have the Internet right now I took the wireless card away! It was one that plugs into your USB port. Its poof, gone. She has to regain some serious trust in this house right now.
I know many think I am a bitch and frankly I don’t care. I was talking to my friend Lisa last night online and she knows all the details that I won’t blog about, and she said it doesn’t make me a bitch…it makes me a good mother! So you know what, damn right that makes me A good mother and i am not going to sit here thinking otherwise!
