Not ready for this

I am not ready for this next stage with my son. He just turned 16 a few months ago and is starting his Junior year in high school. I am so not ready. I have to tell you I can tell those hormones are kicking in folks! I mean the dude really needs to use the D-E-O-D-O-R-A-N-T that I bought for him!! I can tell I am having to fight with him more with showers. I mean how do you go from yelling at the kid to get out of the shower after using all the hot water to, having to argue to even take one? Or how to answer those million questions about acne cures and which one he should use. I am just not ready for this. I thought that getting my daughter through her teen years was going to be harder than raising him but let me tell you boy was I wrong. School starts next week and I am not looking forward to fighting with him to get his work done. I hope now that the hormones are kicking in and reeking havoc in his life that he will mature a little bit and learn to be more organized and get his work done so he can more free time later.

So my daughter is really being a smarty pants today. I am learning to accept my body and start dressing to look good. Usually I am running around in over sized T shirts but I have purchased a few new tops that really flatter my figure and I like it. (Not to mention most pervs when I am out and about..hello my eyes are up here). I am very self conscious and those pervs are the biggest reason I will wear bigger clothes to hide myself. So today I was just relaxing and looking at some plus size lingerie and my daughter says to me and I quote “Wow they have those in your size?” I was ready to just smack the daylights out of her. But now being the mom that I am, when she has her bridal shower one day, I am so getting a gag gift she will NEVER forget with a little note attached.

Can not help myself

I can not help myself but to keep looking for a new kitchen faucet. Ever since the plumber from hell was here in June and broke our bathroom sink just replacing the faucet back there, which is not exactly the greatest either, but is more tolerable appearance wise than the one in my kitchen. I just don’t like it. I think its ugly! We each have a style and different tastes and wish they would of gave us the option to pick one out within a certain price range. But nope I am stuck with this ugly one and I know you all remember what I said it looked like right? But I keep finding myself when I am out on the web looking at new faucets. My hubby won’t let me replace it. But I wonder what if I did it myself?
I wonder if it does work.

Have you seen those commercials for that Leptovox? I seen this product being sold on EBay and decided to do some searching myself because I wonder does Leptovox work? With fighting Hypothyroidism for well over eight years now I just am very frustrated now matter now little I eat or active I am the weight doesn’t go anywhere. It is beginning to be that time of year for cooler weather to come and I have been looking to get a few new tops that are long sleeve. Then there are those out there who just assume we all have eating problem and not health issues playing the roll into our weight. I worry about taking supplements myself because of heart issues, as I can’t even take over the counter cold medication because of my health condition, I get the slightest little cold and I end up at the doctors. So I wonder if it really does work and it it really is safe.

My daughter has been dating her boyfriend, let me see it will be a year this October. I really like his parents. They are older than us, but they are really nice. His father just turned 60 and my daughter called me on her way home to let me know she was going to be late because his parents were talking with an insurance rep about term life insurance. His dad thinks its time to check into it and be prepared. Just like me, his wife is a stay at home wife. She really has her hands full with her oldest son who has a lot of issues right now. I hear how he abuses them from my daughter and how the police tell them nothing they can do but tell him to stay away for 24 hours which I say is a crock of crap! If my son EVER and I mean EVER raises his hand to me or hits me, he is done. I will always love him but you don’t abuse your parents. I would call the police myself and press charges. Look at how many parents abuse their kids and go to jail for it so why is it different if the child is abusing the parent. I get really nervous when my daughter is over at their house visiting with her boyfriend. I am afraid something might happen. But for some reason his parents think they have to put up with it and they don’t. So I am hoping nothing with happen and praying for them. You hear so many stories about the boyfriend or girlfriend’s parents not liking the other and we all get along great. They adore my daughter and have told me numerous times what a great job we did raising her!
