I think I got a lemon!

Well I think I got me a Pink Sony Vaio LEMON folks! Yes indeed that is what I think. I was so very happy, excited, that my hubby got me a PINK Laptop for my Birthday last year in October. I had problems from the get go with Vista. I think part of the problem was, it was on sale, last one but this one the Geek Squad and Geek’d it, but sold it to me w/o the extra fees and prices of other software they installed in it. But I could never install anything I wanted from programs, games, what ever! I called Best Buy in November and they would not help me as I was one or two days past the 30 day mark. So here it has sat on the corner of my desk collecting dust. So I thought perhaps this was just a “Vista” issue and talked to support to see if it could be downgraded to XP and got the good to go. Well I was trying to hold out and talked to support again, and suggest two things, add more RAM to speed up, and/or do a recovery. So I started the recovery process. Got a screen saying the administrator is locked and wanted me to created a new log in, err no I don’t think so, that is why I could never install anything I didn’t have admin access to my OWN computer.

So again I got on with support and here I am doing the recovery process yet AGAIN. So trying to not blow a gasket and end up with a full blown migraine, I am blogging. I think this is a lemon and about ready to make some PINK Lemonade!! I am going to be very upset and so disappointed if all this can be is a dust collector on my desk. Never in all the computers we have had come and go have I had this many problems which is why I ASSUMED it was just because of VISTA.

If you here a loud boom….well then its mean I now have Pink Vaio Confetti!!

Gave me a scare

My son just came back from the running to the store for me for some carrots. Now I am wondering why the timing of now is when he brings up this question, is there such a thing as legal steroids? We seem to have some problem kids in the area where we live, not on our street just some streets down where there is drug dealing going on. Well on the way to the store we walk to there is a gazebo where kids “hang” out, and we are talking troubled kids, who drink. As I braced myself for his response, fearing the worst, he said oh I was just curious because of something I seen them selling in the store. Can we say I had a huge sigh of relief? I was bracing myself for the possibility that those kids were up there and maybe offered him something telling him that it was OK and legal! Scared the daylights out of me.

Where does she put it all?

Oh my goodness, our one kitty Misty, she eats like a horse. Sometimes she will over eat and end up throwing up! But she is one fat cat! I just finished cleaning the tub and I walked out into the sunroom (porch area) and you should of seen her, laying on the lounge chair all spread out. Oh you know I ran and got my camera!! Sometimes I wonder if they shouldn’t make some type of diet pills for over weight pets! Cracks me up. Could you imagine if they did? I could just see the advertising ad’s now. They would take my Misty as the before and sweet little Twinkle as the after, she is so small and petite. Too funny how much they look alike except in the weight area. Oh I have so many pictures of them to scrap and so little time as of late!!

Anyone wanna go to Florida with me?

Does anyone want to go to Florida with me? I so need a vacation and I am ready to hit Disney world!! I been checking the prices of Orlando vacations trying to figure a way to save up, even if I have to go by bus to get there. Won’t be the first time I went by bus to Florida! When I was in the Navy (yes right after boot camp I did go to Disney World, it was like a commercial from the Super Bowl winners), I enjoyed visiting Disney World. My favorite part of the park was the ride where you look into a mirror and it looked like ghosts were around you, was very cool. Last time I was in Florida was when I was stationed in Pensacola at the Navy Hospital where I worked and that was in 1989!! I would love to escape and go! I didn’t get to take my kids when they were little, although my stepson did get to go. But I would love to just go and be a kid again and just have some fun. I so need fun right now.

Oops he did it again!

My dad just got home and carrying a cup of coffee over to his computer desk. Mind you this desk is really like a student desk so its not very wide. He has banged his chair into it so much that its not the best in stability so you have to be careful. So he was trying to get Raskal out of under his desk and boom and guess what went? That blasted coffee ALL OVER. He wasn’t even going to sit there in the first place, he was putting a movie in the DVD to watch an episode of Bonanza for heaven sakes. Was Raskal really hurting anything sitting under the desk? NO! I have been looking at office furniture every time I am out and about because I want to get a new desk for myself and give my desk to my dad and not have this problem anymore. But my hubby thinks I am still going to have to clean up spills. Not with a chair bumping the desk though, I mean I can’t even move mine its very heavy!!! Takes two people to life and move it and you have to take the hutch off first!! I just don’t know what else to do anymore. Hubby said no to new desk so what do I do now? Which reminds me I need to call Stanley Steamer to get my carpets cleaned.

Not the way to start the day!

Today my day started not so good and its only 8:30am right now!! Not good!!! First it is summer time and generally that means HOT weather no? So we turned the A/C on last night because it was like 86 in here so we could sleep comfortably. I woke up this morning to my dad putting his portable oil filled heater in the bathroom to take a flipping bath (a monthly bath I might add). It was 78 in here, are you flipping serious? I said Dad its going to be really hot what are you doing its 78 in here. (The A/C was not running either) You know then after his bath he complains wow I’m hot! So I am not happy camper and now I have to go and scrub my tub to remove a months worth of dead skin off. OH fun fun fun! So now I will peel his sheets off the bed and change them. But of course MY son decides he needs to wash a load which isn’t even a FULL load, and I have my dads bedding to do and yet a third load of towels this week because my kids ( 16 adn 18 but still my kids) are LAZY to clean up after themselves after they were in the pool. (just a little 8′x36″, enough to sit and cool off) so guess who isn’t going to be in the POOL today? I am so sick of this.

I have busted my butt all week and then some keeping up with this house and it is just insane. What the hell was I thinking? Sure mom doing all the work and they were out in the pool for a refreshing dip and then leaving wet suits and towels all over. Something seriously wrong with this picture!!

So by the time my son is finished doing his so called load of clothes it will be really warm in here and lucky me gets to slave over what I would of had done by 10 this morning!!!

Not a good start of the day!!! I have worked hard keeping the house cooler during the day with just fans running and not the A/C to save energy, we just been running it in the evening. Trying to keep the electric bill down as low as possible!!!
