Glad he enjoyed the day, I didn’t

So yesterday was just a disappointing day for me.  However since my husband started his mini beer feast at noon, he on the other hand had a great day!  He is on his vacation now for the next week.  First I had to run and pick up my daughter from work and they had a parade down here where we live.  There are only two ways in and out of our area and they had both ways blocked.  It took me an hour and a 1/2 to get home after picking up my daughter.  I am so writing a letter to the editor and city to complain.  What if there was an emergency for my father?  I mean I could not get to my house.  I had to wait until the end of the parade was past a few side streets way down from us to finally get through and make it home.  That is just ridiculous and I can’t believe they are allowed to do that.  Isn’t that a fire hazard to boot?? I tell you what if my house was on fire the way people parked the truck never would of made it to our house!!!!

Then last minute cookout oh I Just love those last minute things.  Could he not tell me the day before so I could get stuff for it? NO!  Then my stepson came over and he was outside with his dad, we ate then back out they went.  Hubby got a fire going and did not even tell me!  I was in the house with a migraine (small one) and my stepson left then called to say to tell his dad he is on his way back.  I was a little confused as he was suppose to have plans with his girlfriend then comes back with bottle rockets.  Oh OK NOT!!  I walk back to tell him he was on his way seen the fire going and hubby was just blitzed OK!  Well our neighbors across the street call the cops every few hours during this holiday and my hubby is going to set off bottle rockets?  The smell of the sulfur was really aggravating my migraine not to mention the noise!!  My poor daughter had to go to bed early as she had to be up at 5 to go to work this morning.  I am glad he enjoyed his day, but I didn’t.  I went to bed crying from the pain.  I got a guilt trip for the so called little setting the scene fire in the backyard…oh yeah can you picture it?  Me with migraine and them setting off bottle rockets NEXT to the fire???  OH yeah that’s romantic!!!  He never ONCE even came inside to tell me he was getting the fire going, so what am I a mind flipping reader to boot?  Sure it would of been nice, to sit by the fire and try and relax so this migraine would maybe level out a bit, but to sit out there while setting off the bottle rockets?  No I don’t think so!  I would of been tempted to put one in my ear to blast that migraine away!!

The city of sin!

Do you watch CSI?  I do love to watch CSI Miami, it is actually the first series of CSI that I have watched.  I love it actually.  But I was flipping channels and watched an older show of CSI and you know what, it was pretty good.  But what cracked me up was there was a commercial talking about the different Vegas vacations get aways and I just had to crack up.  After watching this particular episode I have to tell you it made me chuckle and say oh yeah NOT happening!  But seriously putting the show aside, I would love to hop a plane with a few of my friends and go to Vegas, leaving behind our husbands and just have FUN.  You know I bet that would be the best vacation EVER!!  I can just imagine the fun we would have and returning home for our husbands asking us a bunch of questions and getting to tell them just like they say in their commercials, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!!  OH that would be awesome!!

AT&T Techs are LAZY…

Well the saga continues with the phone company.  Its been a weekly thing now that they come out because of issues with my phone NOT working.  Every time it rains, a day later static.  Now tell me there isn’t something wrong!  This all started last summer and I was told my phone lines needed replaced.  Now I am not a hard person to please here, I just want to have a phone line that works.  Pretty simple no?  The previous owner of our home, had 10 lines for the phone.  I mean that is just insane I think, to have a phone jack in the bathroom is pretty darn bad don’t you think.  But yes 10.  I don’t expect or demand they fix them all or replace all the line for them all.  No I just want TWO working Jacks.  One in our room and one in living room.  That is it. Is that too much to ask?  So I am hoping to find an unlocked phone which is a cell phone but not tied down to just any carrier, so I can find a carrier besides AT&T for a cell phone!!  I told my husband I am fed up with having a land line.  We are under “contract” with Alltel whom I am disgusted with as they lied to us to get us to sign up with them, until November 17th.  I gave my dad the cell phone I had because he needs to have a phone with him for emergency reasons, especially with his health.  But each time a tech comes out they do anything they can to avoid what really needs done, its really quite simple.  NEED to replace the OLD phone lines.  We paid monthly (extra) so if the lines need replaced its covered and someone needs to get off their lazy butt and just do it.  I don’t care if they put a hole in the side of my house to do it to run a new box and everything, I just want a phone line that actually works!!!
