Fools cracked the sink!!

Remember dumb and dumber? The plumbers who fixed my hot water tank? The simple job that should of taken maybe an hour tops took all day? You ‘member, ‘member?
Well after calling several times yesterday because the plumbing folks were suppose to be out to finish the job the warranty company approved, as it was a different guy who was here on Saturday, they sent out dumb and dumber again! When the van pulled in and I seen them it was as if I should of known something was going to go wrong!!!
Not to mention I had a “data disk” error with my desktop yesterday that was not recoverable, had to call Dell and pay $39.99 plus tax for support since my warranty JUST expired exactly ONE month ago yesterday, the system restore was corrupt so we had to do it the OLD fashioned way, CD by CD by CD by CD!! Thankfully I had did a back up so I didn’t loose anything!
So I am on the phone with dell working on the data disk error and dumb and dumber were suppose to replace the faucet in the bathroom, the p trap, and snake the line, sounded simple enough no? OH no the assholes cracked my sink, we literally broke it! NOW he came out and said small problem (yeah small problem my foot) and said when he went to do the p trap the sink just cracked. It just was corroded. That is NOT covered under the home warranty. So he handed me a cell phone and I put the dell tech on hold, he is telling me the sink was corroded and it would cost $180 for a new sink, plus two hours labor plus time to go and pick it up. ERRR NOT, do I look like I have that kind of money? So I said well guess I am screwed we don’t have it. So they did not finish the job! They did snake the line and the faucet is attached but NO pipes under my sink plus the broken sink!
So the home warranty gal calls to let me know they approved the “snake job” and I said well a lot of good its doing me I am screwed they cracked my sink. She was like what, so I explained to her what he said to me. She puts me on hold for a while and I go back to the dell tech I had on hold to continue attempting to salvage my computer, then the home warranty gal came back and asked me “did they tell you before they did it, that it possible could damage the sink?” I said “no they did not tell me nothing until after the fact”. She tells me its their responsibility! They are telling me otherwise. So she said she was going to send it to the vendor department and if we purchased a new sink to send a copy of the receipt and they see about helping get the money from the plumbing company, it is what their insurance is for she said!
So after a few hours I called the warranty company back and said to please note the account or job invoice that they did not finish the job, do not pay them for the repairing the p trap since they did not do it nor the labor for that either. They had told their vendor department I knew about the sink prior and that is a LIE!! I never signed a paper and neither did my husband on Saturday when the other guy was first here repairing our kitchen sink. NO signature from us. So no I didn’t know!
So now after all that work of painting and fixing up that back bathroom, I have NO sink! I have a pretty new faucet but no sink that is usable!
I tell you what I could cry for days after the past few days I have had. Now I have to finish getting my computer set up and oh won’t that be loads of fun?? NOT
Unbelievable start to the day!!

I have to tell you, what an unbelievable start to MY day today! I woke up to my dad knocking on my bedroom door, asking me where to shut the water off in the house, we don’t have a shut off in the house, only at the main. Then it was OH SHIT. OH SHIT what dare I ask?
My kitchen faucet would not shut off. Are you kidding me? Today of all days, the day of my daughters graduation party are you flipping kidding me and a Saturday too boot? So I was on the phone with the home warranty company (BTW it expires August) and thankfully they had a plumber who had Saturday hours. So I get a hold of plumber at 7:30 this morning, guess what time he shows up? 10:30 I SHIT you not and three hours of my faucet running and running and running…. Which also lead to our back bathroom faucet really dripping which lead to LOTS of work needed done in there.
At first I thought I was going to have to fight with the warranty company but shockingly enough I didn’t have to as of yet. It seems I need new shut off values under the kitchen sink (old ones corroded), and a new faucet (duh) so that was approved for the kitchen. Back bathroom needs a new faucet, new p-trap (pipe corroded), and (yes there is an AND) needs to be snaked! Oh lovely!!!! So they approved all but will not approve the snaking until he clears the line, meaning if there is a toy in there its not covered and well I can assure you we have nothing in there!!!
So Mr. Plumber says to me (I shit you not) so, you need your kitchen faucet fixed today? OMG are you flipping kidding me!! Yes I do. The back bathroom we are fine waiting till Monday but NOT the kitchen! The shut off valves under the sink didn’t work I was not having water just running all weekend long from my sink is he nuts? So he was off to get parts, and two hours later back. Needless to say I wasn’t not here, hubby was as I was down at the center setting up and getting ready for my daughters grad party, which I will post about tomorrow.
So I come home from the party and let me tell you I don’t like the new faucet, it is flipping UGLY in my opinion, I just don’t like it and I cried! Its not the style I would choose at all!!! What can I do? WE did have a $50.00 deductible fee to pay. It is just UGLY and I am stuck with it. Did I mention its ugly? I won’t even tell you what I think the spout looks like!!!
Regrets only

Wow I can not tell you how very disappointed and sad I am that how many “regrets” we have received! Literally I kid you not, NO one from my side of our family is going to be at my daughters grad party tomorrow and you have no idea how broken hearted I am. Its not about the gifts or money for my daughter, not at all!! I thought since I had not heard from a special couple that were in our lives for many years, I was like oh good they are coming and was so very excited, until we got the mail today. They are not coming either. I was really close to them, closer than my own mom. Time seem to make us drift apart but when I didn’t hear anything I felt so confident they were coming! But sadly enough, they are not.
Basically its just my husband side of the family and a few of her friends. I just can not help but feel disappointed. As I sit now and cry my hubby just watched the movie I made, he really didn’t just sit and watch it just here or there when I said oh look. Now he feels old but I feel sad for my daughter.
Today I spent the day washing and cutting up veggies and fruit, walked to the grocery store for bacon from the deli for my baked beans because I FORGOT last night when I went to the store, which I didn’t even leave until almost at 9 pm. I got a few more foil pans so everything for clean up tomorrow is toss-able.
I wish my online friends lived closer because I know if you were here it would be one kick ass party for my daughter. Thank you for your sweet words on the little movie I made.
We picked up some mylar balloons tonight, just five for tomorrow. I got the trunk loaded with the cases of pop, beer, juice (for kids), and water so when I pick up the keys to the center I can go ahead and put them in the refrigerator to start chilling!! They center has two refrigerators so beverages in one, and fruit and such in other!!
I also made a run to Sam’s Club for some mini cream puffs, mini cinnamon rolls, and a tray of mac and cheese to bake with some antibacterial wipes for folks to clean their hands with.
I am going to take pictures once its decorated and during the party!! I even burned a CD for music this evening!!
Next week they want my hubby to work 12 hours a day, and I on the other hand don’t have the girls and my daughter starts her job Monday! I hate that he is going to work those hours and will throw off my dad’s “schedule” because dinner will be later now and he is one to live by his watch so NOT looking forward to that! Hubby said to just eat dinner without him and I won’t do that either!!

I thought I would upload the movie I am making for my daughters graduation party coming this Saturday so you could see it. It is not as clear as the real deal since it’s you tube! There is two songs to do and a total of 65 pictures. I hope you enjoy watching it. It is about 7 minutes along and would love to hear what you think!! I am so fed up with AT&T! We have had trouble with our home phone line for well over a year and a half now. Every other month I am attempting to call them with either using our neighbors phone or outside holding my arm up in the air trying to get a signal for the crappy cell phone. Today I had NO dial tone! Since our Uverse is set up separately I attempted to come online to their website for repair and it was down! Imagine that one!
So I finally get through and was told by the end of the day tomorrow it would be fixed! Needless to say I spent my afternoon reviewing cell phone plans and just going to up and shut our phone off and be done with it. Now as of right now hubby is locked in with his cell phone (my daughter and my dads phone too) until November 17, 2008 (marked my calendar can’t wait to get rid of them!!), so I was searching for a individual plan since right now a family plan is out of the question.
My choices for our area:
Verizon–they have the strongest signal for our area
AT&T–they have a good signal but not the best (honestly do you think I want them for cell service?)
Sprint–their signal is very weak
T-Mobile–no guarantee I will always get a signal
We live fairly close to the lake. So it looks like Verizon may be my best choice but… Not sure I am willing to pay $59.99 for 450 minutes? That is not a lot of minutes for a phone that is going to be for the “home” line.
So needless to say maybe I will just wait it out until the girls are no longer here and cancel the phone line. Use the cell my dad calls when he is home, until November then switch to a family plan with Verizon that will be for hubby, home, and dad at 129.99 for 1400 minutes. Dad only uses for emergency and our mobile to mobile calls won’t count against the minutes and just change the day I call my mom to a weekend day.
Sometimes I think its impossible!

I wish I could find a book on how to lose weight with hypothyroidism because I can’t seem to no matter how hard I try to lose the weight I have gained since my thyroid took a crap! The doctors keep telling me to be patient and once my levels do “level” out I will start seeing a difference. But I am tired of feeling tired all the time! I am tired of my husband saying that is just not normal because I am cold all the time. The temperates have dropped to under 60 degrees and I am cold. I am not asking to turn on the furnace, trust me I know that hot weather is coming back soon, but my toes are extremely cold. I noticed my hair is coming out more and more. I don’t ever think they will get my levels straight. So I just get so frustrated because I can not lose the weight and wish there was some magical cure for my condition, but there isn’t. I have not gained any more weight in the past three years, that’s a blessing, but I just wish I could lose it!!
Since the weekend, I have really had some serious heartburn feeling, my stomach has some pain and I just don’t feel so good. Even a banana aggravates my stomach! My hubby quit smoking and snacks a lot and thinks I don’t eat enough. I guess I just wish I could feel “normal” again. I got in in a few months for another ultra sound. I am due for a refill on my medication and I just think why bother, I don’t feel any different on it!!
Busy getting ready

Wow I have just been so busy getting things ready for the graduation party that we are having this coming Saturday, I tell you what, that is a lot of work and planning!! Today I went and got our car from hubby at work and piled my two and the girls I watch into the car and off we ran to Walmart. After our trip to Walmart we went to the GFS place for all that fun stuff like chips, pretzels, napkins, plates, plastic ware (folks, spoons and knives), a tray, and a few other things. Then I treated everyone to McDonald’s for lunch. Have you had their Southern Chicken Sandwich? I get mine, of course without pickle (yuck). I really like that sandwich! Then piled everyone back in the car and made it home for the call from my husband. Now I need to sit down and sort out what I have that isn’t “food” and see if there is anything else I need. I need to get into the attic for Sarah storage container with stuff in it as she grew up to put out at her party. I wish I could get in the day before but they won’t allow me.
Thursday evening I have to run and buy two watermelons to cut up for a fruit salad, some cucumbers, carrots, celery and green peppers for a little veggie tray and some dip, and some bacon to cut up and brown with brown sugar for my baked beans. I think that is all I need.
We picked up pudding today because my daughter wants pudding too. So no one could decide on one flavor, so I got butterscotch and milk chocolate!
I am so exhausted and I need to start my roast soon, but I rather take a nap!
Cranky and moody

Today is not turning out to end well. I am very cranky and moody right now, yes even down right bitchy. Hey I can say that no? It’s my blog! Fed up being lied too BIG TIME. Fed up that everything is a laughing joke to my son. FED UP that I told him one thing before we left and he turned around and did it anyhow and thinks oh well. So thought hey lets just go have some dinner at Longo’s. HA! Their pasta has always included a side salad since like forever. I just took the kids for lunch there on Thursday and we had it. So when you going out to get with a party of 5, well every little bit helps with a budget you know! So I go to order what I wanted and does not include salad anymore. Now lets think about this OK if Lunch is 6.99, and dinner portion is $7.49 (which includes a salad), they want an additional $1.49 for a salad with lunch. Explain to me why I should have to pay MORE for less pasta because I want to add a salad? Does that many sense to you? Sure as hell doesn’t make any sense to me. So I didn’t eat! I didn’t want a dinner portion of pasta I was not that hungry. I refuse to pay more for less, sorry not doing it. Yet the pizzas, calzone, chicken, and sandwiches still include a salad? Hmmm pasta “cost” wise is much cheaper so this makes NO sense to me what so ever. Of course as I said I am cranky and moody anyhow. Needless to say if I am going to pay that I just assume dine at the Olive Garden and call it day!
Then while there everyone is being rude and thinks everything is a joke. My stepson spilled his pop all over, and my son doesn’t know how to laugh without spitting his chicken all over across the table on his sister, mind you my stepson is 20, daughter is 18 and my son is 16. WE are NOT talking about little kids. They should behave much better than that OMG!!!
So my last nerve already and I have ONLY been home since 11:00 am and its now 4:30pm. NOT GOOD
AND my son really ticked me off. He was goofing around I said you need to stop and eat your pasta (came with his chicken), that you have not touched it yet. You know what that little smart ass did? Took a bite and said there I touched it!!! OMG I was so mad I said to him he better shut his mouth before I knocked his teeth out and my stepson just thought that was just so funny. OH yeah! Love my day NOT
