Flea Market in Middlefield

June 30, 2008

This morning I woke up at 4:30 and took my husband to work so I could keep the car and venture out to the Flea Market in MIddlefield, Ohio.  I had the girls today so I thought this would be fun.  Naturally of course it was pouring rain when we left.  When we arrived in Middlefield it was just sprinkling so at least we managed to get there enjoy your walking around and browsing at the flea market.  After we left there I took them where they make cheese right there in Middlefield and we toured the little museum and of course shopped for some cheese, got some Swiss and Colby to bring home.  Then we popped into the Walmart there to see my if my neice was working since we were in the area and was so good to see her.  I cried, naturally.  But it was great to see her.  Then we traveled home and yep you guessed it, right back into pouring rain!  It was only in the 60’s today and that is just nuts for this time of year.  Hubby is battling a cold and I think I am next!  So today I made a homemade lasagna with some nice Italian bread.

Yesterday hubby and I went to Home Depot to price new sinks to see which way we are going to go and we choose to get a new countertop/sink (its built in) and just replacing the top.  I think we are going to have to paint the cabinet now so it doesn’t look icky.  So the cheapest route is $99.  I am still furious with dumb and dumber over it.

So I think I may head to bed, I am one tired nut!!!

June 28, 2008

I been a waiting like an impatient little thing for this cute little siggies to arrive from Angelas Doodle Pad! I just adore them!!  I am seriously thinking of opening yet another BLOG to be all about my siggies I swear I have enough of them!!!  OK OK on for the show:

Ok this is me on the beach, don’t I look adorable.  I know what your thinking, I am the bunny but seriously I am the crab ha ha ha.  Check out those coconuts.. now add those to the bunny and that would be more like me ha ha ha!!

Yes here I am pool side, aren’t I adorable?  That’s Harry over to the left relaxing after working 62 hours in a week.  I really hoped he come in the pool and play some ball with me.  At least I have my pink floatie protecting me.

OH yes this is Me every night having a chat with Mr. Moon (or is that Mrs.?).  Many sleepless nights for me, its amazing how I can still manage to look this cute.  Hey, look, they even named a star after me!!

Here I am all ready for the 4th of July Parade.  Check out my stockings do they not rock or what?  And George Lopez thinks he has a big head.  Yeah I am seriously holding my gut in and in no time at all I will turn blue and pass out.  See those eyes..thats LOTS of bean juice, and I wonder why I can’t sleep at night LOL

OH yeah you know you want a piece of this!!  Priceless.  Here I am on the beach again, check out those cool shades.  Harry is a little crabby because he worked 62 hours this week and the last thing he wanted to do was come to the beach with me.  Check out my dream castle to the left.

Seriously I love my new siggies they are so pretty.  Thanks Angela for sending my order my way!!  I love em all!!!

Vista requires lots of memory

June 28, 2008

As many of you know I have my pink laptop my husband got me for my birthday last year (well it was a combo gift for other days too), and it came with Vista.  From the beginning, I have had nothing but problems with it.  So I was on with support a few weeks ago, you know an online chat discussing the issue, even willing to return to the factory to have it checked out it just lags, its slow and very frustrating.  I have talked to others who have no problems.  I was going to downgrade to XP but the technician suggested to me that perhaps I should add more computer memory as I can go up to 4GB with that particular model.  So I been pricing that option compared to the expense of buying XP.  Which would be less of a headache?  I am not sure since I have never taken a laptop apart before!!  Desktop Towers I am all up in their crawl, but the laptop for some reason I am more leary about messing with.

Friday’s Feast #4

June 27, 2008

Appetizer

What is the weather like today where you live?  Hot and Humid (icky sticky weather my poor flowers)

Soup

On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being highest, how career-minded are you?  I have to say right now 1.  I use to work outside the home, but life has taken me a different direction so right now a career is very low on the scale

Salad

What type of window coverings do you have in your home? Blinds, curtains, shutters, etc.?  Curtains, much easier for me to take care of!!

Main Course

Name something that instantly cheers you up.  My Twinkle, she is my kitty.

Dessert

How many times do you hit the snooze button on a typical morning?  NONE, I don’t even have an alarm to wake up too.  It is really weird my body just knows when I have to be up!!  (Very light sleeper too)

Friday already?

June 27, 2008

Wow it’s Friday already and I am oh so glad this week is almost over.  Ever since last Saturday it just been hell.  I have to tell you I really wish I had a car during the day.  I just noticed we are down to our last roll of toilet paper, I buy those mega rolls and you think one pack would last a month.  Not in this house it doesn’t!!  Then I was making the mash potatoes for dinner and noticed my margarine/butter is down to one stick, and then I cleaned out the pantry today to get rid of the boxes my family seems to be too damn lazy to throw away.  Now it looks pretty bare.  I am so due for a big shop!  I hope to shop at Giant Eagle again to get another 10 to 20 cents off a gallon of gas, as I have 90 cents saved up now, so next time we need to fill up, we will take along the two 5 gallon gas cans for extra and stretch as long as we can.  With all the extra trips we had to make during the past month, we ended spending an extra $70 in the month.    I have to tell you we can not cut back anymore with fuel than we already have!  One car!  Sucks!

I wanted to get to the library and didn’t get to go.  With my daughters work schedule its hard for me to run errands in the mornings now with my dad.  Sort of sucks but what can I do.  Hubby been working 12.5 hours a day this week and will work about 5 hours tomorrow. So I hope to have the car. We are suppose to go to a birthday party but I am unsure if we will make it, he has a cold coming on and doesn’t want to get others sick.  So have to play it by ear, plus some nasty storms suppose to be out this way.

I missed my Friday Feast argh, maybe I still have time since its still Friday!!

Just dread it!!

June 26, 2008

You know ever since they put in that new faucet in the kitchen on Saturday, I just dread having to do dishes now.  I really do NOT like the faucet they installed.  Why could they not of installed one of these beautiful Danze faucets?  Yes I know I should not surf the web looking at faucets, my husband will probably shoot me if he knew I was, but darn it I just don’t like that one in my kitchen.  It hangs too low over my sink for my taste, and is now a huge pain in the butt when I have to fill up the gallon jug when I make iced tea or filling the bucket to clean.  I just wish I could have it swapped out!  I just don’t like it.  Now the faucet in the bathroom is pretty but not with that ugly sink at the moment, you know the one dumb and dumber broke.  I hope to go sink and cabinet shopping soon to find a new one!!  Hubby is working overtime this week so maybe next pay, we shall see.  But I just finished washing a few dishes and had to come rant. I don’t like that thing!!!

Seriously, is this a shocker?

June 26, 2008

Oh for heaven sakes!  Is there headline really a shocker:

Study: Many teens get alcohol from adults

So really, tell me, where else would they be getting it from?  Dogs?  Cats?  No, other adults.  I have to tell you, I did have to say NO at my daughters graduation party as someone who wasn’t old enough was reaching for a beer and I wasn’t having it!!  Unless your 21, don’t come looking our way for booze OK!

My stepson is under 21 and his mom allows him to drink.  At his party two years ago, she was letting the others after a lot of the family left to help themselves to some beer and that was our cue to say time to go!  I wasn’t going to be responsible for that.  I told my hubby I knew my stepson drank, his reply was he doesn’t like beer, exactly he drinks the hard stuff.  I seen pictures of the empty bottles and have read his blog entries for quite some time.  I don’t have a blinds eye to it and I won’t give him any booze when he is here at our house.

I have a magnet on my refrigerator that says:

Parents who host lose the most!

Dreams Do Come True!!

June 25, 2008

I am very excited to post this as I am so excited to share my awesome dream that came true!!  I got a beautiful set of freshwater pearls in my most favorite color PINK!  These are truly very beautiful and I will forever treasure them.  The quality is just out of this world!  They are so pretty and when I tried them on I did not want to take them off.  My daughter is all jealous and I told her that one day I was going to wear these to her wedding and then hand down to her, when one day in the future she has children and they get married for her to wear at their wedding, and hope that they become a family heirloom that is passed on generation after generation!
