They tried to screw us!

As you know its just been a mess with the rental of the hall with the community center. Its been and upper then a downer, then seemed to balance out and what happen? They were canceling us!

You see, they double booked the rental, both of us rented the smaller of the two party rooms and the other party was not willing to budge and take the bigger room at no additional cost, it meant losing the kitchen. But we compromised and agree to take the bigger room and would borrow coolers and such! So she told me yesterday it was a done deal that was that and I printed out the party invitations, 40 of them! Not to mention all the decorations we ordered that you just can’t hang on a tree in the yard, and heck my back yard doesn’t even have a tree in it!

She called me tonight and tells me the other party is pitching fit, wants the whole building as they need ALL the parking spaces. They first told me they signed a lease before us, so I guess that means we were SOL (shit out of luck). Well that did not sit easy with me. Sorry to say. Its too late to rent another hall now we called around and tried, even to rent a pavilion in the park. So I called back and told her I wanted a copy of their signed lease to prove they signed before us and are you ready for this? THEY DID NOT SIGN ONE! You talk about ONE pissed off person? OMG that was SO me I was HOT HOT HOT!!!

Hello! WE did and its legal and binding and they already cashed our check and it cleared well over a month ago. WE paid up front! I told her that legally they can not do that, as we have a contract he doesn’t! So I said well I will call our lawyer back and I was going to call City Hall AND our the troubleshooters with News Channel 5 and she laid a guilt trip on me about how it would make them look bad! Make them look bad? Like it was I who did something wrong here? I asked what if this was a wedding reception would we still be having this conversation? What about arrangements made with family and friends that have to travel here. She got smart with me then said she be sending us a refund! Ok fine do what you need to do and I am doing what I need to do, make other arrangements and have a call into our lawyer.

I at this point left a message with our lawyer. I called the girls mom as I was a wreck because I just can not believe they could do that and she said no they can’t they are in the wrong! Then that trustee from the community center called us back she told me she called the President of the center’s association and we have the building that day, we have a lease agreement, the other person does not he isn’t going to be happy but that’s how it was. After weeks of bullshit, unflipping real!

So since we don’t have the “big party room” I now have to reprint the party invitations because we had put that on the invitation and its not the bigger room but the smaller of the two. UGH!

I just can’t not believe all of this and now are short with me, as if I did something wrong. NO I stood up for what is right I am tired of being screwed, this is a milestone in my daughters life.

Getting annoyed with yahoo!!

OK today I am very annoyed with Yahoo mail accounts!! You see we have AT&T for our ISP provider, which is AT&T Yahoo! Huge problem with it is I can not send my hubby email from our ISP email address. So I paid for a Yahoo account to have POP access as its just much easier for me to pull all my email into one place! So about a few weeks ago my Yahoo email was not working correctly, so I talked to their customer service and here they changed their pop settings for plus accounts, so I made changes and it worked up until today! Now it won’t work again and my yahoo email is what I use as my default emails and NOW I guess I have to get yet another new flipping email account that is no way tied to yahoo! I don’t really want a hotmail account too much spam for one thing and personally if I pay for pop access I rather it was like msn.com not hotmail.com.

Whats a girl to do? I swear I have the worst luck with emails!! I literally do! You know how big of a pain in the butt it is to keep switching all the time? I swear everyone that knows me thinks I am an email flake! But I need my emails to filter into one place, I mean with getting our bills via email and other stuff I just need to use a mail program and check it all at once! Annoying.

So do I try gmail again? They had issues a while back. Inbox well that’s way too much spam and had issues with it since switching back to yahoo.

I am an incredimail user. I am hooked on the program, its even compatible with vista now so. I paid for a lifetime use of the software and I really want to continue to use it.
