He is so big now oh my goodness

Do you all remember the boys I use to watch? Remember the dad was like calling me all the time and acted like my best friend or something and all that? Well the boys mom stopped by today with Landen and oh my goodness he is walking and talking I just can not believe now big he got! He is so cute he just walked into my house like ok mom I am home!! He chased after Raskal it was so cute, but wow I remember rocking and feeding him, my goodness where does the time go? It was so nice to see them today!!! I am so exhausted it was a very long day today. I found the tablecloths for my daughters grad party today, I got 8 total I hope that is enough, I may see if they can meet me again at the center so I can eye ball one more time so I know I have enough decorations!! I stopped also into fashion bug today as they had this one shirt I seen in an ad and just had to have! It’s so pretty! It was a mini spoil me moment!!

Tomorrow is “R” day!

Well usually I like to sleep in a little bit on Wednesday mornings but NOT this week! No tomorrow I will be up early like a spring chicken wanting to kick the roosters ass and I don’t mean a donkey!! You see tomorrow is going to be full of pounding, hammering, more pounding, a lot of hammering, cracks, snaps and other enjoyable sounds! Tomorrow is R day. What is R day? The day the roofers come to do the roof!!! I never did get to tell my story about this did I? The tale of quotes!

Last year towards fall, it was raining and if you remember I posted about it water coming out of my furnace! We had sprung a leak! My hubby got some stuff at the local Home Depot then patched it up to get us through. Then we started calling for quotes, and they were just outrageous!!! Our house is a ranch and about 1300 square feet! Long Ranch I may add, kind of weird I think when you have the patio doors to go out to your backyard in a bedroom!! We had a quotes for $5,000, $4500, $3900, and $3600! But it was not something we could do at that moment. So we had to wait it out until spring! I made some calls again and had appointments set up. Well the person who came last week, quoted us originally $3750 and we sat down to chat. Then of course I had a coupon from an ad we received in the mail!! So that would of been a bit higher. Needless to say we have a budget and have to stay in that budget! So I said to the rep well we have a budget we need to stay in and your higher than so in so and they quoted us around $3250! So he said if they matched would we give them the work. Well that other quote did include adding two down spouts in the middle of the gutters, one on each side of the house and fixing the broken soffet and fascia, so he included that all in the quote too. So needless to say I think I done did good! WE are getting 30 year dimensional shingles, not the 15 that other quotes included!! We got to pick the color and everything.

Now I have to tell you I do not do well with this sort of thing. I will be a nervous wreck all day tomorrow!! I am thinking of taking some before and after pictures so I can show you the old and then the new!! It will look nice but again I will be a bundle of nerves.. Pounding….making messes…I am the type who is outside picking things up!! Especially if I see NAILS because NO flat tires allowed!!!!
