Crappy Hosting, still waiting for refund

I have to tell you, I just have had the worst luck with web hosting over the course of time. But the worst to date was 3IX! When I first set up my accounts with them, they were fine, I would even tell others how happy I was, never had any troubles, that is until the beginning of 2008. Then it went downhill from there. I sent support ticket after support ticket. This is only a screenshot of one of pages available of support tickets I have submitted. It was always funny that magically after I sent support about my site being down it would magically come up and I would be told it was fine on their end to please check on my end.

Does this look like the server was fine and not have any issues to you? I would say NOT!

Then my last support ticket sent for my site being down, I was told they were doing some file scanning, and there was some errors with the upstream provider. Then not two minutes later another support person replied telling me my site was fine to check on my end, only problem was, the site that was fine was NOT the site I submitted the support ticket for. I replied for them to please refer to the previous support tech message who said they were working on it. Then he replied again with the same message that he copied and pasted. That was the last straw!!!

So I went to work and found a new host, which is costing a little more but I have learned you get what you pay for, and I checked the status of my closing my hosting accounts and still nothing done. I talked to them again today as I want this closed and a prorated refund for time left, as I paid for a year in advance for each site.

So if your looking for web hosting, DO NOT sign up with 3IX!

A night filled with heartburn

I had a very long night last night, my night was filled with stomach pains and heartburn. I tossed and I turned most of the night. I just can not seem to get a good night of rest. My dad had an appointment this morning with his RA doctor, and I reminded him that he needs to let her know he is losing strength in his hands although he argues that things just slip. I left a message but I am unsure if the doctor will get it before his appointment or not. With all the medications he is on, and him insisting on driving, I just worry about it. Add that into the mix of all the other things going on, it just makes for long nights. Seems like even a sandwich upsets my stomach lately.

My dad took a bath woohoo, so I am doing the washing of the bedding today. This once a month stuff is really getting to me too I have tried everything I know to get him motivated to at least bath once a week. Being a caregiver is really not an easy thing, and think sometimes I should see if there is a group with other caregivers I can connect with.

So need to get away

I have to tell you how stressed I am feeling right about now, with being a caregiver, child care provider, homeschooling my son, and my daughter getting ready to graduate and can’t seem to light a fire under her, I just really feel I need a break, I think a perfect get away would be at a condo hotel. I could get some relaxation I so desperately need, not worry about eating out all the time and prepare my meals, and have no worries in the world, even if just for a short time.

My hubby thinks he is doomed

My husband feels since he had an angina attack that he is doomed, because heart disease runs in his family, that it took his dad in his early 50’s. We have been discussing about getting insurance and he thinks he is going to have to get high risk life insurance. Well I don’t feel that way, since he quit smoking and passed his heart test. We have to go to a party for his Uncle who by the way is going to be 80 years old. So I really think my husband isn’t doomed and wish I could get him to stop thinking about that.
