Another Monday..sigh

It another Monday! My knee sure is bothering me today. Of course I am cleaning!! I changed sheets on our bed today instead of just washing and putting back on the set we have, because hubby says he is ready for the cooler sheets, than the warmer winter ones. Personally I wanted the warmer ones but he sweat like a pig last night well can we say E I E I EWWWW!

Waiting for the towels to dry so I can throw my comforter in to dry. I need to get us a new light quilt or bedspread this year. My other one has tears and rips in it from the cats claws from jumping up and off the bed. It’s not a crime really cause I have had it for years. I usually sew but well Sears has those 19.99 any size quilts so I will just get a new one. I love quilts and wish I had a hand sewn Amish one but heavens they are so expensive but oh so pretty!!! I think this time I will get a king size instead of a queen so it will hang over the edges a little more.

I still have to do the tub, man girls doesn’t that job just suck? I have to say the chore I least like is the cleaning the tub and the shower!! I like to get that scrubbing bubbles automatic shower cleaner but I have no idea if it works or not. I certainly do not want to spend that amount of money for it to not work. Besides that oh could you imagine is spraying my favorite handmade soap? OH no no no!!

So its another Monday…and this chickie chickie is exhausted!!

We had a good time!

Wow where did the day go already? Wow! Last night was the 50th birthday party we were invited to go to and I have to tell you we had a great time. There was a D.J. there and it was just a lot of fun. After a few hours I decided to heck with sitting at the table and went out and danced. I have not danced in years and it was fun. However, today my right knee is swollen! Go figure! Trust me I was not jumping up and down but its still out of whack none the less. I begged hubby for hours to come out and dance with me. He doesn’t do fast dances. He kept saying just one more beer. Finally at 11:oo p.m., he came out but really just swayed to the music (and it was a fast song) then stood there, beer in hand. I tried to my hardest to get him to feel the beat, but it just didn’t happen. Now that’s the first in 10 years he has done that! But I wish he didn’t have to get “plastered” to dance with me. Sort of makes my heart sad it takes beer to want to do something with me I enjoy! Needless to say since I don’t drink, I drove home. Dad and my son left early, we stayed to help clean up.

We were suppose to go to his Uncle and Aunt’s party today but hubby is just exhausted, he was up twenty hours yesterday plus we have to drive two hours one way to stay two hours then turn around drive two more hours to come home. He said he loved his aunt and uncle but if they lived closer it be different. So we didn’t go. With my knee the way it is honestly I don’t think I could of handled that drive.

So I think I will check out the ad’s and see if anyone has some T-Shirts on sale, hubby wants some navy blue ones for work.

Luxury or a need?

I have to tell you that we have not taken that many luxury vacations. For us any vacation for that matter is a luxury, as it is something we have not been always able to do over the past ten years. Being that I am a caregiver, who is seriously burned out, sometimes I think a luxury vacation is needed. I wish I had some help from other family members to help take care of my dad. When I was a single mom after my first divorce my mother would tell me when I would call and ask her to babysit that I really need a break, that was a luxury and something that doesn’t happen until they are 18! So how old does my dad have to be before I can take a break?

There’s a party tonight and I am too pooped!

There is a party tonight and I am so too pooped to party!! The girls mom is throwing a surprise 50th for their dad (can you imagine being 50 with a 4 and 5 year old at home, wow). Its been planned for a while as I designed the invitation for her. It was fun! But got no sleep last night and was up early this morning because all the stuff she had been buying like party supplies, pop, snacks and stuff she was keeping here. She was suppose to be here much earlier than when she showed up to pick it all up.

I sure can tell when my hubby is super tired, the snoring is so much worse by the end of the week. I tried to come out and lay on the couch but with the cats that was just impossible. My oldest Whisper thinks there is room for us both and Twinkle was hogging my pillow. Raskal was in the bedroom with hubby thanks gosh.

Speaking of Raskal that little stinker this morning after hubby went to work, chew open two bags of the Doritos. There is six bags (part of the stuff the girls mom left), that I bought out of our bedroom closet so I would not forget to give them to her. So I had to send my son with my dad to the store to buy two bags. That little brat!

Personally my vote is we stay home, but I can’t do that. I have a huge pan of macaroni and cheese to cook for the girls mom she left for me yesterday, so I can bring it with us tonight and help her set up. We probably just won’t stay long.

This chickie is too pooped to party!

Emotional Days

This past week has been very emotional for me. I am working on getting my scrap layouts with my daughter in them completed, as I need them for a project I am working on for her graduation party. I want to get caught up with them so when her prom comes in May then her graduation ceremony in June, I just have to scrap those pictures to add and finalize and get it made. I am putting so much into it but I know she will adore it. But those pictures of “yesterday” sure bring back a lot of emotions, things of the past and sit and ask myself how did I ever survive and stay strong. I had to for my kids!I know its normal for moms to find it hard to let go when their kids grow up, they graduate and begin their adult lives, and sure she is still going to be there, but it‘s part of life and change happens and is expected. If you knew some of the “yesterday” history you would understand my emotional train right now. Honestly I could write a book!

My heart is full of so much right now I feel as if I am emotionally going to explode. I want to yell, I want to scream. But instead I shall quietly shed my tears, and dawn the smile from “yesterday”!

Are these not the cutest or what?

Are these tags not the cutest or what? I just got these tags from Angela’s Doodle Pad. Way too cute. I gotta tell you the I’m stuck one just cracks me up as you see that little bottom wiggling!! So cute and love the cabbage you can actually see the veins of the cabbage leaves with that peek a boo rabbit. Very creative I say!!

The Joys of Spring Cleaning!

Oh the joys of spring cleaning! I got a jump on this a few weeks ago with doing our curtains. Hubby and I have been talking about getting new windows, as we sure could use them, but our goal this year is a new roof. But I told him if we decide to do new windows I want to get some ventshades so the curtains can be pulled back for more air flow, but still want the privacy of others not being able to look right into our house, being all nosy like our neighbors across the street. I can’t stand that they watch us like they do. Drives me insane. I think the shades would look very nice too!!

It’s so blah outside today, I need sunshine!

I woke up to rain. Sigh, I need the sunshine. It is really weird, I noticed with the sun is out I have more energy, then when its gloomy and gray I do not. I went to bed with a mini migraine so I had sort of a long night. Raskal woke me up at 4:10 with a scare! He keeps chewing on the tags on the cords in our room and I heard a zap! I thought OMG he done fried himself. Thank gosh he didn’t. It just must of been a noise I heard and he happen to be playing the the tags, but scared me none the less. Today I am going to cut the tags off. My humidifier I use at night, it helps me sleep because the air is not as dry and I sure don’t want him pulling on that tag with it on!!! It’s really stupid the layout and where the put the outlets. I can’t blog with like our dressers because it right next to the vent for heat. Not to mention most of our outlets are upside down!!

So I decided I want to get a bike this summer so I can sneak off and go for a bike ride. I have to tell you I got my first bike summer of 1998 and yes I am 38! My parents would never let me get a bike, because my brother had one and was stupid then it got stolen so of course I had to suffer cause of him! But I did ride other kids bikes!! Hey gotta do what ya gotta do. But when we were moving here to our house we had a garage sale prior, and where we lived then it was too busy for bikes to be out, like next to a state route and we never rode them so hubby sold them. Now I wish we still had them. Personally I like to get him a bike too so we could maybe actually do something together. So we shall see. But I so want a pink one! But have you seen the prices for pink ones at target? Holy Molies!
