Check out my babies. I was sorting pictures and scanning some, I lost a lot of their pictures due to black mold from that last house we rented before we bought our house and I was sorting them and this really just makes me teary eyed. I so remember those days!!!! I miss them so very much.. Especially since my daughter is going to be 18 in January. Sigh

I am just in a crabby mood tonight. I have been floating around the Internet as I read articles or blog posts, bulletins and such about all the hype right now over the page rank loss. Personally for anyone on Google end of things to make such statement as to say they are “targeting” blogs that do paid postings is just appalling. But I guess its their ranking system so it’s their choice. But again I have already blogged where I stand on the subject. I don’t see the difference between all the folks out there who blog, or have paid advertising space, affiliate banners on their sites when you compare this form of advertising to newspapers, magazines, radio or television. If you visit any of your local radio stations, such as my favorite country station WGAR, or one of the location television stations, my favorite is NewsNet 5 you will see advertising happening. Funny I don’t see Google taking their page ranks away!!
Personally speaking this reminds me of the old saying “YOU CAN’T FIGHT CITY HALL!” Google seems to have made themselves the Internet City Hall. I don’t understand how it came about that they have the higher authority when it comes to page ranking.
So there are many frustrated bloggers out there. Can you blame them? Seriously? Many open their blogs with plans and intentions to draw a crowd, some open them to be the queen or king of all blogs and become stuck up snobby asses in the process. It becomes a popularity contest. Sure we would all love to have a high page rank, but I refuse to let page ranking control MY BLOG!
I opened my site to have a personal place on the net. I just had an ordinary website with sliced layouts and my web pages were my posts. Then I switched over to WordPress and I like change, so I change my theme or layout from time to time. I do what makes me happy. After all is it NOT my blog?
Then an opportunity came up and I was introduced to paid blogging. Hey why not make a little extra money doing what I love to do, writing, talking and blogging. Hey if it helps to keep ends met during financial crunches to having a little spending money to spoil me, or to by some candles I don’t see the harm in it. I am a stay at home mom, a caregiver to my father, a child care provider to two sweet girls, I don’t want to have to get a job working nights or evenings then having to be away from my husband who works all day long. It’s not fair to him to have to come home from work to then tend to my dad, giving him his medications and what ever else needs done at that time after working all day. I would never ask him to do it. So yes paid blogging helps, and I am not ashamed of it nor will I stop doing it because Google dropped my page rank. Sure I love the opportunity to be able to do higher paid opportunities and perhaps in time I will. Hey I love to be able to start paying off our bills, one at a time. I did that with some smaller bills and I have to tell you how good it felt!!
So a few SNOT’s have made some comments about being a sell out?? Seriously how is that even possible? A sell out? Whats the matter you only have a free blog and you can’t do paid postings? Well you can do them too, just buy your domain, get some hosting, there are plenty out there, set up your blog software, post every day for 90 days then apply! Don’t throw a tantrum or judge me because I do paid postings…..
You don’t like what you see, then LEAVE. Who said you had to read it in the first place. I come in here, several times a day to post, sometimes I skip a day or two because real life happens and I have to tend to life. I miss my online friends that I don’t always have time to sit and meet to chat online. Everyone has a personal life and our blogs are a way to stay connected and keep each other up to date. It’s a great thing. We laugh, we cry, we yell, we scream, but we stay connected and that is what mattes.
So my blog isn’t a popularity contest and I don’t have my blog for others, I have my blog for ME. I enjoy writing, I always have. I always will. So I will not let GOOGLE control my blog. But the new year will be bringing change once again……….
My Nature Walk…

Remember I mentioned a month back that I went on my nature walk. I finally got some time (woohoo) to do some scrapping today. I have them all up at my scrap blog but wanted to show off two of them here. I think the pictures are so pretty and I love my scrap pages.
This is just so pretty isn’t it? I really love it.
This was so cool, look how close I got to the little critters. Hubby told me when I got home I was lucky the swan didn’t chase me LOL. I took these pictures at Veterans Park!!
I have have more pictures to scrap yet!!!
New Television, now wants a home theater?

Wow, get the man a new Television and now we want a Bose home theater? Well maybe if someone win’s the lottery then maybe we can consider it. It sure would be nice but honestly until my teens are done growing, graduated and moved out of the house, it’s just a waste of time to even consider something like this. You should see my kitchen table. Man that thing looks like its been in a war zone I kid you not. It doesn’t pay to buy nice things until your nest is empty!! Think its time to take away the internet from hubby for a while!!

OK how annoying can it get? Seriously? I turn around someone is helping themselves and taking my pen. I just bought a brand new box of pens not even a month ago, I kid you not and they are all gone but this last one I have out now. Then all of a sudden the entire family has amnesia or think I am crazy. I have to use a fat pen, not those skinny ones, with a good grip to them. I think I know how I will nip this in the bud once and for all, I am going to go look for some exploding ink or invisible ink pens that will teach them!!!

Finished decorating woo hoo!!

We finished decorating for Christmas today. We did the sun room (porch area) and the yard today. I was so excited when hubby said lets go get the three wise men to add to my nativity scene. I was like woo hoo!!! For years all I have had is Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus. We don’t put them out in the yard, we put them in the porch area, and we have some buffalo snow this year so it looks like they are actually in snow. Then hubby wanted a star to put on the side of the house at the top. I am trying to figure out what Christmas bug bit him!! LOL
So we are all done and I took some pictures but of course I need to scrap them. I still have my autumn pictures to catch up on and scrap. Plus pictures of the kitties at play and napping!!
So I am exhausted, and tomorrow is Sunday already!! I need to get my Christmas card ready this week to mail……. speaking of mail, my mailman better not be holding my package hostage that I am expecting with delectible candle goodies from The Sage Grove because then I will have to hurt him, he is always sniffing my boxes and violating it with his nose…. but I can’t wait because I ordered lots of goodies this time around for Christmas Presents and of course in scents I have already cause you know if I ordered something I don’t have I won’t want to part with it. Right now I have a sugared cranberries burning and man oh man we are in H-E-A-V-E-N. The other day I got a call from my sweet friend Bobbie and all I could hear is sniffing and sniffing and I knew she got her order too and is on the hunt for me because I started a new addiction for her, oopsie!!
Put our tree up today..but had to be a project!

Wow, am I ever tired. I always work on putting up our Christmas decorations up the day after Thanksgiving while everyone else is out there shopping and fighting those crowds. I can’t deal with them so I decorate the home. I am upset because we didn’t even get to the outside decorations which I usually do first because hubby wanted to rearrange the living room. Last year we had to put the tree over near our coat closet. We just hung our coats in our rooms and put the vacuum in dad’s room. So I just figured that is where I put it again and nope hubby wanted to rearrange. So after about three hours we finally got to an agreed setting and then we had to go OUT to the STORE for a 50ft cable since we moved the television. NO NO NO, say it isn’t so, going to the STORE on BLACK FRIDAY? UGH, so it was hello Home Depot!!! I was not up to going to Wal-Mart or anywhere like that!!
So we grabbed a quick bite to eat because we didn’t eat yet, and got the cable and got home and finish setting up, it was after 6:00 before I got started decorating……. Of course I had to break a tea light holder that I have had since high school and I just sat on the floor and cried….
We got decorations done in the house now and the tree looks pretty. Yes I took pictures!!!
