Da Flu n Changes

January 30, 2007

The darn flu bug is hitting our house now.  I have manned my toolbelt with lysol, clorox and tissues!  I have not been feeling well since last week.  Then to top it off, the girls I watch, their dad bought them yesterday…and Bri got sick on they way here and hello brings her in, dirty car seat and all for me to deal with!!  This poor kiddo had her lil head over my toliet all afternoon until her dad cancelled his appointments and picked her up at 3ish and left her sissy here so he could just take care of Bri until their mom got off work.  Today she is much better.  She had a nasty cold for a few weeks so I think that was just her body’s way of getting rid of the mucous.  My daughter is home from school now day two, if she isn’t any better she will miss tomorrow too.

Changes still continue as February fast approaches.  I am so thankful to have a handful of special folks who have been so supportive!!  It truly means alot!!    And you all know who you are!!

Whuddleworld Cheaters Shame on YOU!

January 26, 2007

I am unsure how many of you gals know of a site called Whuddle World or not.  But its a cute site, where you and roam and play, collect whuddle beans and shop till you drop.  You can spend real money and buy dazzledabs to keep adding things to your whuddle to dress them up, collect rare items, there are contests to enter and clubs to join.  My kids and I had joined…its fun.  Well I should rephrase and say it WAS fun!  If you log in daily you get a cookie and you can donate it for 2500wb.  They use to have a daily trivia game but did away with that.  The cookies will be gone soon too.  I like trivia that was a main point for me to join!!

You know a lot of pixel site owners are there.  Its pretty obvious as they join as their site names and thats cool.  Helps others to know who you are, or at the same time who to avoid!!  But you know what….the problem is??   Many of them have multiple accounts!!  Some have two, some have four.   One gal has I shit you not has EIGHT accounts.  I mean seriously???  Is it worth it?  Cheating??  I honestly just don’t get it!!   Well I guess if you take the 2500 possible whuddle beans a day and you multiply that by 7 thats 17500wb a day and 122,500wb a week!!  So I guess to them thats alot of “money” they are cheating out of the system.   Needless to say my kids lost interest…its not fun anymore they say!   And what could of been a fun thing again is being ruined by greed.   I guess when your playing a game you try and find ways to cheat.  Of course its against the terms of use and many of them think they are fooling the system but your not, they know who you are, but as long as you are paying them “real” money…spending hundreds of dollars, they are not going to cancel your ass…..I mean they will lose money.  But it will alter your total gaming experience from what they tell me!!  So in the end, you may think your cheating the system, but your not!!  Saddly enough what are you “adults” teaching kids hmm??  That it’s okay to cheat, as long as you don’t get caught??

My kids and I are waiting for the questing to begin, to see if its worth our time.  From a mom stand point I was excited to do something with my kids, to be goofy and silly and not be ourselves!!  As a mom you fight for every lil moment like this.  But if the questing isn’t what we hope it is, then we shall find another site to play, or just give up and go back to playing at Pogo, playing card games and taunting each other!!

But in life its always nice to have a place to escape and awaken your inner child!!  But greed and cheating tends to put a damper on it.  Its just not fun!!!  So to those of you again, you know who you are that ruin the fun of either having a website to playing a game online,  we thank you!!   But I want to leave you with something to ponder:

Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.

Fuzzy Navels Anyone?

January 21, 2007

Well I survived hubbys Christmas party!  It was nice to get out of the house without the kids.  Of course his brother called on the cell phone so by time I unpacked and took my bath, did my nails, checked emails (took my laptop with me), hubby finally got off phone with his brother and it was after 5.  So he had to take his bath and clean up for the party.  We arrived at the party center.  A guy he worked with at work wanted to sit with us.  I thought that would be nice.  But it made for an unpleasant evening.  Its bad enough I am sitting at a table all night as it is without that.  WE left the room at 6:15..first fuzzy navel at 6:25!  By the time we left the party at 11:40, I had a total of 8 fuzzy navels LOL.  Oh I did drink one pepsi with dinner…yes the dinner…can we say EWW!!  Needless to say my menu consisted of a dinner roll (no butter), some dry lettuce, one spoonful of rigatoni and some corn!  I mean BBQ corned beef?  What the hell is that?  What ever happen to chicken or roast beef??  Seriously??.  Yep I think I had more to drink that I ate LOL.  But this woman was so rude, ya know you try and have conversation and be nice and polite and she just cuts you off after you say two flipping words, then wait it out and try again and BOOM…yep that was my night at the table….

We sat while some played musical chairs..it was like a scanvenger hunt but everything they had to go and get something and come back one chair was taken away.  They asked for things like rings, mints, lipstick to birth control (which was funny to see so many condoms and birth control pills flying around LOL) to 4 sheets of toliet paper.  The prize was a digital camera.  Then they did a verision of the newlywed game.  Hubby didn’t want to sign up for that, he said that is just asking for trouble.  Prize was a dinner and a movie on the company.  After that they drew names from the ones from where hubby worked who attended the party.  I had to go up and pick for hubby, who was last to go LOL, cause he had to use the bathroom and I didn’t wanna go up but I did, and I picked an envelope.  Its a $50.00 gift card to Best Buy, he he he that will come in handy for some goodies for my computer.  There was some prizes still left so hubbys name was called again and we won a digital phone and we so needed a new phone too!!

After the prizes was done, this was after 10:00, they played some music (the D.J) and I chair danced, cause well hubby doesn’t dance and of course if off talking, and I sit.  I know its only once a year so I don’t complain to him.  Then this gal decides to have a “drink” (first one of the night), a rum and coke.  Then she is like will you take me to the bathroom and hold me up so I can go?  ERRR………..  Gave hubby the eye and we left to back to our room at 11:40.

Wasn’t exactly what I had hoped our evening would be, blame it on the romantic fool inside me.  I guess it just went to fast and I had hoped for just ONE slow dance!!

Couldn’t sleep at the hotel….glad to be home…bathed, in my jammies and waiting to hit the hay!!

What a week, is it over yet?

Mood :  tired

Boy what a week, well what a tough couple of weeks I should say.  I am just exhausted and not feeling up to snuff, and tomorrow is hubby’s Christmas Party with his work.  Its a nice dinner, there is dancing, but hubby won’t dance, and this year I guess they are going to play the newlywed game, but hubby won’t play that either.  Hmmm, another year sitting at a table?  Wonder if they have internet access LOL.  We are going to stay over night, if hubby has anything to drink as some tend to buy them for him I rather we were not out on the roads.  It snowed too so……this way if its gets bad outside, we are safe and sound.  Hello!  A night out for Susan!!!  I may just sneak down to our room if he is off talking for a while and just sit and enjoy the peace and quiet.

OMG did you see they moved the time ahead by two minutes on the dooms day clock??  Signs of the times, scary times….

I hope next week to update my collection pages as a few sweet friends got me some gifties and I need to get them put up!!

I picked up new toys for Twinkle and she is so loving them.  She is now going down the hall..we are at the 1/2 way mark..almost there baby cakes!

Hubby has a fire in the fireplace going, its toasty warm but my eyes are bothering me a bit.  No one else but me.  Guess I am just not use the having a fireplace I guess..

Did I mention a night out for Susan??  Yes first in over 5 years!!  So have a good Saturday everyone I hope to come in Sunday and post something exciting….from our night!!

Mood :  worried

Well I am still waiting on more news on my neice.  I did get a call to say her blood count was back up but whether or not they had to do surgery again I do not know.  I am hoping no news is good news and that she is going to be going home today..crossing fingers….

**I called this evening, the let my neice go home, her blood count was higher yet and no surgery done, she is still weak but now is eating and getting around a lot better at home, I am going to call her again on Friday**

Say a prayer for my Neice!

Mood :  worried

Seems as if 2007 is off to a not so good start.  I got a call last Thursday night that my neice Amanda, who is only 19 years old, was having surgery that Friday morning because she has a tumor in her pelvic area.  I got a call after the surgery on Friday and the tumor had ruptured when they opened her up, it was the size of a softball, and they had to take her right ovary.  My hubby and I traveled back home saturday to go see her and from all the pain meds she was having a rough time.  She was hallucinating, having conversations, to panic attacks.  She finally calmed down and came out of that.  Sunday she seemed to develop bronchitis and a virus.  She was running fevers.  They started her on antibiotics.  I got a call last night, that my neice is bleeding in her pelvic area, we are unsure if from the coughing is the internal sutures ruptured or if something else wrong.  Her blood count is low so they may have to give her a unit of blood.  And my lame ass brother hasn’t been back up since Saturday (he was there a whole five minutes and lives right there too, he told her and her mom he be back on Sunday and never showed).  What an idiot, I will have to blog about my infamous brother one day, whom I do not associate with, nor does my dad.    But this is typical “Chris” behavior to say the least!

If it wasn’t for her mom and us keeping in contact all these years I would of never known about my neice.  She is a sweet heart, and so thin, I mean I can believe there was room for a tumor and no one knowing all that time.   The pathology results came back and it was benign (if I am spelling that correctly, its early for me).

So please keep my neice Amanda in prayer or thoughts would you?  She had to come into this world having open heart surgery, so she started out fighting and I know is a trooper and will continue to.  I am sending my angels to be with her today.    As I await the phone call……..

Twinkle my Miracle in the Works!

January 14, 2007

Mood :  hopeful

Yesterday was a very emotional day!  After calling the vet who feels doing blood work would be a waste of money because neuro issues will not show in blood work, that they feel (all three of em where we go) she has suffered brain damage.  And she may never snap out of it.  So we discussed and called the rescue center where we got her, and thought perhaps they had the ability and financial means to have her taken care of, and they said if we brought her back we could never adopt from centers in our county again.  She put me on hold and came back and talked to their vet who also said they feel its brain damage and they would end up putting her down!  Oh just break my heart.  Very emotional!!  Seemed as if they were leaving us with no choices and no hope. But we can’t give up!  I said some prayers and friends have been praying for her too and keeping her in thought.  We went to go visit my neice who just had surgery yesterday at the hospital back home where I am originally from and stopped for a bite to eat and came home.   She woke up and then our evening unraveled!!

She was talkative and playful!!  So she began playing, running to my desk cause when I open my desk drawer she knows some of her toys are in there.  She was wanting in there being nosy, got out a hair tie and she was just playing, tried the little pen light, at first she played, but bit at the floor and back on the couch, I put the light on the floor and she focus did that lil butt shake and down she went and this kept up for a while.  Then she was just laying on the floor, in the middle of the room and playful and bathing.  She is now exploring her surroundings.  Baby steps but much progress!!  My little miracle!  When hubby went to bed he carried her into our room to test things..cause remember she is always in there everynight when I go to bed!  He closed the door and I finished up loading somethings on the computer and shut down and went to bed.  I walked in and she meow’d and was talkative and purring.  But she is afraid of the floor, she just stares and focuses at it.  After a while I knew she wanted out, as the door was open but she just stared at the floor, I carried her out put her on the couch and kissed her goodnight.  I peeked down the hall after I headed back to our room and she was on the floor!!

This morning she is in the kitchen waiting for her bacon LOL  So she is slowly coming around.  We decided to not give her medication and see how she does today and tomorrow.  We are crossing out fingers, toes and hairs!

She is my lil miracle !!
